I missed the "Wining and dining" aspect, I guess. In that case? I've never wined and dined anyone. . . I don't think girls do this. And honestly, I'm not a big fan when men do.

Maybe it's uncommon in general. I lived in the wine country for a couple of years and picked up a lot about wines, I live in an area with a lot of great restaurants and different kinds of cuisine, I have a lot of foodie friends.

Certainly there have been times when it wasn't economically feasible, and certainly there are times I'd rather go on a roadtrip or a hike or spend a day at the museum with my friends. But since I can afford it, it seems pretty natural to occasionally take friends out and splurge and spend a few hours engrossed in food and wine and conversation. There have been times when they have all done the same for me...again, male or female, purely platonic.

At 38 I have a few female friends.

According to them we are just friends.

My friends pay their own way.

Period.

So no, I don't spend money on a woman unless we are exclusive these days.

When I was younger & had money to burn i'd sometimes pick up the tab because I was young, single, no expenses to speak of & more money than I knew what to do with so I didn't really care.

I was having fun & sometimes it did get me some action but i'm sure it was because I could afford to take women out back then.
