Thebob Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 So I have this new girlfriend, but yesterday I ran in to my ex who I haven't seen personally in 1 year at this party. I kinda freaked for a second because we ended on bad terms and the last time I ever saw her was when we had sex and she left that following morning to go to school. We ended up breaking up 2 weeks later and we only contacted 3 times during the school year and 1nce during the summer. Anyways when she saw me at the party she was really quiet, looking at me a lot, but every time I looked back at her she would turn her head as if she didn't want me to catch her. But I could tell with my peripherals that she was lookin at me. I made some small talk with her so it wouldn't be awkward the whole night then when I left all I said was it was great seeing you and see you around then I left without looking back at her. I am over this girl, but it was just weird to run in to her again after not seeing her for so long and what not. But also when I saw her some memories came back of us and what not since she was my first girl ever to have sex with. Do you think I did the right thing by making a 4-5 minute small talk then saying a quick goodbye and walking out the front door with my girlfriend? or should I have kept the NC NC policy? I felt like I did the right decision cause my girlfriend told me that I should have at the time because she knows about the whole thing and what not. Thebob
AlwaysConflicted Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 You did the right thing. It was very mature. In fact, it would have been incredibly rude to ignore her since once upon a time you two meant something very special to each other. Good for you.
Author Thebob Posted August 15, 2010 Author Posted August 15, 2010 K that sounds good and re-assuring =). My ex has a new boyfriend of 8-9 months now but I could tell that she still thought about us and what we had for 2 months when we were seeing each other. Thebob
