frenchgirl Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 One of my guy friends came over the other day. He sat at the piano and played a beautiful song. Then he said he wrote it for me! Do you think what he did is necessarily romantic? How would you react if it happened to you?
Thierro Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 It's sweet. It means you are special. I also wrote songs for my girlfriend back in the days, same after we split up. It doesn't necessarily mean he is in love with you or something. I also wrote songs about different people and situations. It's just an outlet.
aerogurl87 Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Wait? I thought you were dating the guy who liked to make up business arrangements in order to fly to see his lovely "business associate" and eat dinner with her till 1am? Anyway, it could be romantic. I'd need to know what the lyrics of the song was though to determine that.

I'm still unsure whether I'm totally comfortable with this but I know for some people late business dinners aren't a big deal. As for the song, I can't remember the lyrics but it was nice. I'm not interested in him romantically as I'd like to work out my current relationship. I really like my guy other than those issues I've been talking about.
dispatch3d Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 lollllll going from the "treat em like dirt" thread to this is hilarious. Silly guy, that's what he is. He should have gotten at least a kickback from you for writing an entire ****ing song about you. Instead he does it for free. Ahhh silly boy.
Lady vs Panda Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 If your friend is an artist, a musician, it's possible that he was merely following a muse. If he's not, he's definitely into you and making a romantic gesture. I understand that you already have a boyfriend and you are thinking in terms of making your current relationship work, which seems fair. But from what has been said, your relationship seems rocky, perhaps your boyfriend is untrustworthy, unworthy. Maybe this song should make you look at this 'friend' in a different light.

You sort of said exactly what I sort of had in mind but wouldn't say. My friend plays music for fun (he's got a day job too) and he's probably the kind of person to follow a muse. He said I was his inspiration and stuff like that.
