mmk1 Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 (edited) My xOW and I ended things over a month ago after a 5 year on-again/off-again A, after 5 years of our families being close friends. I recently decided to deactivate my FB account and update my little used Linkedin accout. While in Linkedin, I just clicked to select all of my gmail contacts with a Linkedin account, about 50 people, which apparently still included xOW's H! To my horror, H was the first to accept the request out of of all the people on the list at 2:37 a.m. this morning. H does not know about the A and as we all used to be close friends would not think anything of the Linkedin request. In fact, xOW recently asked me if I was FB friends with the H, like it would be ok, which I would never have and never would. Still, I am horrified at my mistake not to check the list. I did not remember his email was still on my list as I haven't talked to H in over 2 years and emailed him 1-2x in my life. I will never see or talk to either the H or xOW again and this wouldn't change that. Questions: 1)Is this really not a big deal and just leave it alone as most people do nothing with their Linkedin account, so it seems, or do I just wait a few days and delete him, unless that would attrach more attention? 2) Do I need to say explain this to the xMW, which I do not want to talk to? I'd rather leave it alone as a non-issue. Please help me correct this! Edited August 12, 2010 by mmk1 Forgot a question
CrayonAngel Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Just don't worry about it. are you still in contact with OW? If so..you need to cut that out.
whichwayisup Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Delete your account for a while then when you go reactivate it again, delete and block him (and the MW too) asap. Whatever you do, don't contact her.
fooled once Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I would just ignore it or delete the him. I don't know anyone who routinely looks through their contacts to see who they are connected with.
