Men: how often do you meet/see women that you find sexually attractive?

when I was married & in love with my wife I could look at a woman & see she was attractive but I wasn't actually attracted to her if that makes sense.

 

sort of like looking at a hot body on TV. You see it's hot but it's not like your thinking sex with her.

 

Since i've been seperated?

 

There arn't too many women i've met that I wouldn't consider having a one night stand with.

 

Of course I havn't been laid in about a yr.

I probably saw and interacted superficially with 50-60 women yesterday at the funeral I attended, some known to me and some not, and perhaps one or two caught my attention. My friend who died was a 'car' guy and the one lady (and her boyfriend) with whom I interacted the most was a car 'gal', meaning she got the language and did the work herself. Although, and not atypically, she wasn't my 'type', I caught myself looking over at her more than once and I remembered her name without issue (I'm lousy with new people's names). These are signs I recognize as 'attraction' from my end.

 

Lots of lovely women looking their best at an obviously difficult time, but, as is usual for me, only a very few spring from the page. Engagement and interaction drive attraction for me, not tits and ass. YMMV

 

Edited to add, as a datapoint, I've been separated since June 2009 and stbx and I last had relations in November 2008, so I've been abstinent since then. Again, not atypical. I don't f*ck women to make myself feel better or unload my prostate. I just don't see humans that way.

I am curious on how men see this issue. Note, I don't mean that you find a woman pretty, more that you feel attracted to her and want to f%^& her.

 

Certainly less than 10%, even in places where there are a lot of young attractive women.

 

It's not so much that men are attracted to a huge percentage of women they see. It's that we immediately notice every single one we are attracted to, and in extreme detail. So even though I think it's a low percentage, I also agree with "When i go out to the store or work..i see girls i want to **** all the time." Even if I just want to f**k 1 out of 20 women I see, I will always notice that one as soon as she strolls into view. You don't have to go very far to see about twenty women.

 

 

 

More often than not...as in 51%...

 

I bet if you think about it more you may reconsider this number... there are a lot of unattractive people out there...

Not often. I'm not even attracted to the majority of the conventionally attractive women. For every 10 women(assuming they're not senior citizens) that walk by, maybe 2 at best I'm sexually attracted to.

Not all that much nowadays since I moved to VA Beach in January from NYC. I did go to the beach once and saw gorgeous looking women but I got sun-posioning by way of adverse reaction to the sun while taking sulpher medications I didnt check the label on for warnings. I was in sheer pain for weeks and have become a bit of homebody since getting so many painful blisters on my legs and back. Thinking of going to night school in September to get out more.

Yeah I think 60% or less is reasonable.

I challenge any guy saying above 30% to take a quick count the next time you are out and about. I bet you are forgetting/ignoring a lot of unattractive ladies because they just don't stand out in your recollections.

 

There might be specific places where it gets that high, like the gym at a college campus or something, but those are huge numbers. Next time you see a full bus stop, try to pick half or even a third of the ladies you'd really want to sleep with... you better hope you like g-milfs and BBWs with an extra B!

Oh, I absolutely agree, but upon further contemplation, I think the reason is that our minds and our eyes are subconsciously drawn towards the more attractive women. That is, we tend to only "see" the attractive ones. Let's say you're walking around in a public place like the mall. If you were to look at every single woman you passed by, then yes, the percentage would certainly be lower. But the thing is that we don't look at every single woman we pass by, and our attention tends to focus only on the attractive ones...so of the ones we do see, the figure might be higher...

as high as I expected although I don't know whether you make a distinction between 'attractive' and 'I find sexually attractive'. ie I see men who I know would pass the attractive test but I don't necessarily want to jump their bones because they are not my type.

 

I see good looking guys all the time because I live in Central London but for me to fancy someone properly I have to hear them talk.

Well to expand on what I already said, since starting online dating I have met a total of 15 guys . I only found 1 sexually attractive. This is around 7%. Keep in mind that this is among guys that are single and my age and I already thought are reasonably attractive from their pictures.

 

If I were to give a percantage of men that I see/meet it would probably be below 1%. Yep, I am screwed.

As in I'd actually want to sleep with? I'd have to get to know them first. Honestly. The way they talk, phrasing, the way their mind works. . . these are all things that factor into my sexual attraction.

 

As in I'd find sexually attractive enough to date on the premise these things would mesh up? I don't know. . . probably less than 10% of men or lower in the general world would be aesthetically pleasing to me to the point I'd think, "He's cute, I want to talk to him" but if I go to the places I tend to hang, a much higher percentage because all the guys are in my age range, are more on my "wave length" I guess. At my favorite pub in Korea, it's probably about 30% on a good night. Yet, I don't feel this is particularly rare, unlike the OP. It happens all the time that I meet someone I fancy. At least several times a month when I'm single. Maybe I just meet lots of people? I wonder how rare hers is.

maybe because you know those friends of friends a little so they are not just random faces/bodies on the street? maybe you just need to have a glimpse of someone's personality before you feel the sexual attraction

Yes I agree this is dead on. Perception often works this way, and this particular case (men perceiving women) is an extreme example of that process.

I live in SoCal where all the hot plastic women are located.

 

So when I visited other 'less civilized' states like New Mexico or Arizone, I, too felt like everyone was ugly there. Women barely combed their hair and they probably went in public wearing whatever they wore when they woke up in the morning.

Constantly. I could walk around the market and run into at least 3 girls that I'd want to bang. When I'm at college it's a non-stop parade of hunnies. Of course there's the occasional cow but they are easily overlooked.

 

As long as a girl is at least a 7 I'm happy. And there is no shortage of them.

That's a good question, and I'd love to know the answers provided everyone was able to answer on the same scale.

 

When in a place where scores and scores of women from all over pass by, I'd guess that somewhere near 1 in 5 (20%) might inspire me to notice my sexual attraction to her. Now it could be only one angle that is especially delicious, but my interpretation of your question says that counts.

 

Those are just passing attractions never to be thought of again let alone pursued, but if the world stopped except for two people, then it would be game-on if she were agreeable.

The best thing about women is that the assortment keeps presenting itself to keep a guy's mind from dwelling too much on any one appearance in particular... which is a good thing, because it assures that those obsessions and long-time valuations that we have about the sexuality of certain women originate NOT in our eyes, but in some better, psychological place...

I remember watching the movie She's Out of My League and thinking the lead perfect 10 didn't look that much better then most of the other women in the movie. In the real life most women have something which might catch my eye for a second glance

It's said so often that men are more visual. I think though, that the culture/values/maturity all play a role in that. Men have been culturally trained to *hunt* for women. Women have been culturally trained to be discerning.

Any particular day's libido level plays a part for me. I will notice more men overall. But if I have pressing obligations, the perfect 10 could bump into me and I wouldn't meet his gaze, just mumble sorry and keep bee-lining it toward my goal.

I'm more intellectual. I have to hear the attraction. Audible, as it is said of women. I can hear intelligence in a voice, or lack thereof. A man can be beautiful, but until I hear him speak, I don't hedge any bets.

But to the extreme of wanting to bed them? That's a very rare thing from a few moments of interraction, almost non-existant, and when it has occured, it is a fantasy, and I don't take myself seriously, much less the man.
