Citizen Erased Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 I really don't care. Even if I don't have cleavage they're big so people notice. I learned in my teenage years to ignore the looks. I'll put something on, think ok I look presentable and then I'll leave the house and forget it. Unless my bf happens to be around, he needs to learn where my face is sometimes.
Angel1111 Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Sorry, but I call this BS. Just another, "poor little me. I had no idea I was being sexy to men". It's not BS at all. The truth is, most women do not understand the power they have over men, nor are they usually aware of how they come across.
Citizen Erased Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 And I repeat . . . I like how the men in this thread keep claiming that they know what it's like to have boobs. How about us girls make a thread telling the guys what it's like to have a penis? I'm sure I know all about it. So true. Don't you know we don't know anything and they're the experts? All we're going to do is lie or not know the answer. *giggles and hair flips*
kalikula Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 At least for me, all the cute tops I want to wear just show a lot of cleavage usually... On other less busty girls they would look way more innocent.. But it's either wear shirts I don't really like, or just put up with cleavage and get to wear the cute shirts I like. Nip slips are unacceptable though... That has never happened to me!
Ruby Slippers Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Unless I'm going on a date, to an interview, or to consult for a client, I don't think much about it. I mean, a summer camisole is form fitting and shows cleavage, but I'm just wearing it because it's hot outside.
deux ex machina Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Are women ALWAYS conscious of how much cleavage they are showing? I see what I look before I go out, then I don't give it a second thought. It's not like I'm zoned in on my cleavage at all times.
yume Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Yeah, I'm aware of how much I'm showing. Not that I'm well endowed in that department but boobs are boobs
norajane Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 I see what I look before I go out, then I don't give it a second thought. It's not like I'm zoned in on my cleavage at all times. Exactly. I know what clothes I have, and I know what I look like in them, so it's not like a big secret to me what the cleavage situation is. But once I've made the choice before I leave the house, my mind is not focused on my breasts every minute, or any minutes.
purgatori Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Are women ALWAYS conscious of how much cleavage they are showing? These are the sorts of profound philosophical questions that you grapple with, and keep you awake nights?
LucreziaBorgia Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 When I had the huge boobs, I more or less knew when I was 'showing them off'. However, at work one time I was bending down to put something on a bottom shelf and glanced up at the customer beside me who was looking down at my boobs - I looked down and sure enough, the shirt had gaped open and he had a full view of my boobs in my bra. I never wore that shirt to work again. Now if my shirt gapes open when I'm bending down guys will glance and then look away really, really, really quickly. I get a kick out of that every time.

tami-chan Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 (edited) I make a conscious effort not to ever show cleavage at work. I deal with pregnant women every day who are visiting the clinic with their husbands/boyfriends and having a youngish-cleavage-showing-not-so-bad looking member of the medical team may not be a good way to establish rapport with the patient. I always err on the side of caution, even though I do not really believe they care..but it only takes one very hormonal woman... Btw, I noticed that there are scrubs now that have low V necklines! Not allowed at my work! Outside of work-my main concern is not whether I want to show cleavage or not but whether the outfit makes me look like I am more petite than I already am ...and if it does not and it happens to show some cleavage,too...so be it! Put it on and forget it! Edited August 8, 2010 by tami-chan
florence of suburbia Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 I don't have enough "material" to make cleavage, no matter how low-cut my shirt may be!!!
Author spriggig Posted August 8, 2010 Author Posted August 8, 2010 These are the sorts of profound philosophical questions that you grapple with, and keep you awake nights? Actually the question came from the realization that this, from the 180 rules, works both ways: 29. Know that if you can do 180, your smallest CONSISTENT actions will be noticed much more than any words you can say or write. I noticed, and wondered. So it was a little deeper than "Oooooh! Boobies!"
Feelin Frisky Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 I don't have enough "material" to make cleavage, no matter how low-cut my shirt may be!!! Clever handle. I like it. (Florence of Suburbia--neat).
florence of suburbia Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Clever handle. I like it. (Florence of Suburbia--neat). The burbs are a desert of sorts...it takes a special talent to tolerate the long, dry spells. Maybe if I were more well-endowed it would help. Luckily, the camel has cleavage.
LucreziaBorgia Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 why what happened to your boobs? Bilateral mastectomy. I opted for no reconstruction or implants. I got a really nice tattoo across my chest instead.
a_woman Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Bilateral mastectomy. I opted for no reconstruction or implants. I got a really nice tattoo across my chest instead. Haha I suspected something like that
Sphere Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 I don't have enough "material" to make cleavage, no matter how low-cut my shirt may be!!! I wouldn't worry about it, anything more than a handful is a waste and I have short hands.
florence of suburbia Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I wouldn't worry about it, anything more than a handful is a waste and I have short hands. This is true. Also, not an extra drag when exercising, no back pain (not from that anyway), and the droop factor is negligible.
flying Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 At least for me, all the cute tops I want to wear just show a lot of cleavage usually... On other less busty girls they would look way more innocent.. Yeah, this. Also, when I switched to a different birth control pill (sorry guys, TMI) my boobs went up a full cup size to a D. Stuff that used to look one way now looks a lot more...suggestive, and to be honest I didn't glom onto that fact right away. Certain T-shirts I was used to wearing innocently now look rather va-va-voom on me. I guess I just wasn't used to thinking of myself that way. Honestly, I think a lot of people have an internal image of themselves that doesn't always entirely gel with the external. I wouldn't assume people always know what they're presenting.
