Long story short. I'm a girl, there's a guy that comes into the cafe I work at every morning for the coffee and breakfast [to go] and I have a crush on him. Like-- an "I'm in middle school and blush when this guy walks in the door" kind of crush. It's truly flustering, I am not a shy person but get so nervous around him!

The problem is, he is shy and so normally it's me doing most of the talking. Obviously we usually only have a couple minutes while I make and give him his order, but he seems like someone I'd really love to get to know. Right now our banter is light, I'm really not sure how to convey flirtyness in a span of 2 minutes, especially keeping in mind he makes me so nervous. I don't know his name aside from what's on his nametag and he doesn't know mine.

I'm 95% sure he's 23 or 24 years old, if that helps. Does anyone have any idea what I can say or do to convey more interest? If you're asking 'does he like me' - I have no idea but sometimes he seems just as flustered. I've only decided I'm interested in him within the last week or so, so that's when I've started talking more than I would to other customers, noticing him etc.

Any ideas?

You could always do something bold and write your name and number on the napkin you give to him- but of course it might be awkward the next day if he doesn't return the sentiment.

Next time he stops by to order something look him over and say "your cute, want to bang?" :p:bunny:

Ask an open ended question or two. If you see him tomorrow, maybe ask him "what are you up to this weekend?" or comment about a particular article of clothing he is wearing you like.

Ask him if he's ever dated a waitress. If he says no, suggest that you'd be fine with changing that. Just say I never dated a customer before and don't normally do this but you're so cute you've made your way onto my menu. LOL.

I really don't think its that bold to write her name and number on a piece of paper with "call me".

If he didn't call he would probably just stop coming in especialy if it was because he was to shy to call.

The number on a paper with call me is the best shot. The guy might wait before calling if he is an idiot.

DO THE NUMBER ON A PIECE OF PAPER THING AND UPDATE US

it isn't always easy for a patron... no guy wants to be THAT guy hitting on the barista... heh

I've been that guy plenty of times. Some times it works out, some times it doesn't. Really if you are kind and respectful about it even if they say "no" they should take it as a compliment.

Dont dip your dick in the company's vagina.

Especially a regular customer.

Gyp! Given the thread title, I was hoping for a "happy ending" story.

OP, he knows you are interested, ball's in his court. Be prepared, though, for him to have a serious GF.
