user2011 Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 im trying to get my head round why, when i i think about the relationship i hate her for treating me like ****, and if i imagine her to have gained a few stone i know id feel better about it. but when i see a picture of her looking great it really upsets me. Is this an insecurity thing? i hate the thought that ive lost 'the hottest girl ever' as she is in my mind. Why cant i see beyond the surface????

Is this an insecurity thing? i hate the thought that ive lost 'the hottest girl ever' as she is in my mind. Why cant i see beyond the surface???? I feel ya man. My ex was kinda a bitch. Especially around the end of the break up. Been about 3 months broken up and she in my eyes is the prettiest girl I have ever seen. I always thought that. I feel like **** because I once had her in my arms. I don't know why I feel this way after everything that happened to me. I'm looking for the same answer my friend.
threebyfate Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 It appears that many men suffer from this problem. And yes, I think it's an ego thing. Maybe you feel you've lost a "prize" and yet, if you consider the nature of the prize, how well did you really know her? Look on it as a learning experience, in that you now know that superficial selection isn't even close to being good enough for serious relationships.
Author user2011 Posted August 6, 2010 Author Posted August 6, 2010 yeh ill be honest, theres definatley an ego thing in there. i hate myself for it. I just wish i didnt have the blinkers on about how attractive she is. As i know she is but theres others out there. i just cant see it.
DenverBachelor Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 It's probably the same reason I felt like total **** when I crashed my Ferrari Enzo into a sound wall. I felt better when the insurance company replaced it, but since they didn't have any more Enzo's I had to settle for a Porsche Carrera GT.
