JacquesA.LeFrancais Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Greets all... So, as all adults here (for the most part). I have a question about LDR intimacy. I have been finding that my S/O who are separated on average by 6 week stints have slowed down on it considerably. Living situations, timing and things keep up from not being really...intimate. And to be honest...it is really really bugging me. Am i being unreasonable. I don't demand it or anything. We had a bit of a "date night" go wrong tonight and I'm feeling disappointed and frustrated. We've not been able to get into skype either and that's not helping /indignant
aerogurl87 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I'm sorry your night didn't go well tonight. My boyfriend and I don't even have what you'd call a "date night". We just talk all the time about our day, what's going on in our lives, how we feel, etc. and that helps me feel more close to him. But life does sometimes get in the way of finding time for one another, but that's when you have to sit down and make each other a big priority come what may. Good luck.
Enchanted Girl Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Yea, me and my boyfriend usually go up and down when it comes to this. Sometimes we talk a lot and keep close really well. Other times, we're so busy, it gets hard to communicate. The only thing I can tell you is that it will probably resolve itself in a few weeks or something if you're patient. Just tell your s/o that you miss them and try to schedule some time to spend together and see what happens.
Romance Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I know what you mean, its upsetting when the other partner isn't making it a priority to really give time to you. Tell your SO you need it
carvidep Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 do you guys text or call each other? When ever my SO and I go through times when we can't skype as often, we'll text each other a couple times during the day. sometimes it's to say "I miss you," or even "omg I just saw a t-shirt that reminded me of the day we went to this place...." It always makes me feel better. Especially random phone calls out of nowhere. Those are the best!! even if they can only last 5 minutes.
