That's just it, I don't know what things I could try :(

try everything - try anything... think of the world as your oyster...

do things you never thought you would do.... go a little mad (in a healthy way)

I'm just bummin' hard right now. On top of it I don't know what to do with my life...it has no direction career wise. I don't really want to join the Army but it looks like that's what it's coming down to :/

Apply for financial aid and go to college. Getting a degree is better than working 9 to 5.

Seriously, what happened to the good ole' code of the brotherhood? What happened to guys chugging down a good old bottle of beer and milling over the strange behaviors of the opposite sex at the local bar?

At least I had my girlfriends around when I wanted to down a whole cup of ice cream. They saved me from the emotional weight gain by treating me to some good clubbing in the city.

I don't have a college degree though.

If I went to college I don't even know what I'd go for, plus I'm 28 so I am very late to the game. Life sucks then you die I guess.

you dont need a college degree - some of the worlds most successfull people didnt even go to college....

Age is nothing but a number - whether your 18, 28, 28, or 48 its never too late.... you are never too late to learn new things... life is what we make of it -

Thanks buddy, but I just don't know what I would do. I would be no good at construction type of work and most white collar jobs require a degree.

IF you're not going to try college, I recommend a vocational school! What kind of trade do you want to get into? look up a school online.

we all want that - its just human nature...

why not go back to college?? I dunno maybe in the evening part time - it may take you a little longer but the end result will still get you there...

who cares about how old you are??? I know 35 yr olds who have gone back to school...

I guess I just don't know what I'd be good at so picking a career/degree is difficult.

Dude the army can be a lot of fun. It will test your limits and make you a stronger person. It's not a bad idea to join. What MOS were you thinking of?

they have these online tests that you can do that help you determine what you may be good at....

i tried one - it showed me I would make a good accountant yet I found my joy in consulting... I studied to become an accountant but ended up becoming a consultant...

i think it boils down to what you truly enjoy...

Thorgs, gimme a break! My partner has just finished his 4-year Law degree...and he's 47. You make it sound like you're over the hill...

My mum started University when she was 52, and got a degree at 55.

What's your point....?

Everything everybody offers you as a suggestion, you just stonewall...

Lee Iacocca would have loved you... he declared he wanted the kinds of people on his Board of Directors who avoided phrases like "Yes, but"... and "What if....?"

He wanted to be surrounded by "Hell, why not - ?!" people.

C'mon, man!! get a grip! There's so much you could do, if you just grabbed the opportunity, instead of waiting for the lucky break to fall in your lap!

Randomness.....

Man I'm so tired...I could do with two night's sleep in one.... and tomorrow I'm seeing clients whose dog is driving them nutz.... That, I'm looking forward to....(It's Saturday night where I am right now.... about 11.10pm as I post.....) *yawn!!*

how many are actually dateable on this forum? I mean if.... we actually dated each other of course.

PS. Apparently two members on this forum got it right.

I was thinking 11B. Does basic training count towards your time enlisted?

Do we have to be exclusive...?

Or can we bang several guys?

I have my eye on 17 so far.

I would actually give a kidney for more than 3 hours of uninterupted sleep ATM....

Client & dog driving them nuts - just what is it that you do??? I am a dog person....

Well seeing as you are on LS posting like me you are at home??? I am sitting here watching night at the museum 2 on sky+ = could my saturday night get any more exciting???

being modest are we TM????

Bang? I havent heard that word in while - but yeah do we have to be exculsive ???

Yes it does. 11B is a good choice. Consider combat engineer as well (21B). It pays more.

Just to clarify...if I enlist for 2 years...the 2 months of basic, then 4 months of MOS training all count towards my 2 years? Or do I have that wrong? Rather get info from someone in the military than a recruiter, because with them, you never know what is truth, from what I've heard.

meh...I get a bit more than that, but I'm such a light sleeper, and my room faces east...in the summer, without fail, I wake up at 4am.... It sucks!

Client & dog driving them nuts - just what is it that you do??? I am a dog person....

I'm a dog behaviourist - part time, although I want to increase my work load eventually.... You know? Like Cesar Millan.

Only better.

MUCH better.

3 reasons:

I'm cheaper -

I'm here -

I won't fill your home with a film crew of 17, sound recordists, directors and 17 other dogs named Daddy, Junior, Mr Big, Choo-Choo, Buster and Spike......

Oh, and I speak perfect English.

And I detest Prong collars and electronic collars.

And I'm shorter than he is. Which isn't easy, but it means you get more concentrated value for your money.

Well seeing as you are on LS posting like me you are at home??? I am sitting here watching night at the museum 2 on sky+ = could my saturday night get any more exciting???

I'm home, my partner's helping a friend (Who owns a restaurant) because the Manager's on leave and he's filling in. Trouble is, he's better than the absent Manager...Much better. But he doesn't want the job.

I'm watching CSI New York... Gary Sinese...It's a repeat, but aren't they all?

You seen the new BBC Mini-series, Sherlock? we caught the first episode last Sunday and it was impressive....

OMG 17? Need I dare ask for specifics? :p

Oh we definitely don't need to be exclusive... and I do have my eyes on a few as well. :bunny::bunny:
