dmr8843 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Alright everyone this is it!!! He did it again, so I pulled him to the side and told him that he is being inappropriate and to stop touching me. I didn’t tell him because I liked it, he already knows I like him, just that it had to stop. He apologized and then proceeded to tell me about his failing marriage and how he interested in an old girlfriend from 16 years ago…blah blah and basically having an affair. I told him that I didn’t need to know that and again he apologized. We talked for a bit more and he invited me to come up and go swimming with him in his pool??? I told him I don’t know…..he and I assured each other we are friends, but he still asked me to come over?? He is an awesome friend, but explained to him that being his friend is too much for me. He doesn’t want to stop being my friend and I feel bad. WTF!!!!!
Mimolicious Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 What do you feel bad about? This dude sounds like a predator and a loser. He has repeteadly disrespected you by touching you when unwanted. What's "awesome" friend about that? You decide to hang around this guy, don't be surprised when he forces you into something else. How are you not seeing the obvious? This man is disturbed. Stay away or I don't know what else to tell you... Someone touches me inappropiately and the least I will do is SLAP THE ISH OUT OF HIM!

There is no way that this man who has spent all this time giving you shoulder rubs and stuff has any POSITIVE intentions by inviting you to swim in his pool. SET THE BOUNDARY AGAIN. It's clear that he doesn't believe that you have firm boundaries...and the fact that you said "I don't know" confirms for him that you don't. Shore those things up...make it clear that your only interaction will be IN THE CLASSROOM. And anything else is off limits. You'll appreciate yourself a lot more once you've done this.
califnan Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 You did do well Dmr. Yes I think MM wave that "friend" flag out there as an innocent sounding enticement. .. Don't go for it.. He has already told you what kind of a person he is with the affair disclosure.. He wouldn't mind a third woman in his life..
