K'aycie Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 I have a question concerning the term "ex". Do most people refer to an "ex" to include: 1.) Someone you were in a relationship with for a significant period of time; 2.) Someone you dated between 1-6 months; 3.) Someone you dated less than a month; 4.) Someone you developed feelings towards, regardless of how long the two of you dated.
Author K'aycie Posted July 29, 2010 Author Posted July 29, 2010 anyone whom I had become exclusive with. That's what I pretty much lean towards too, in my view. But now-a-days, there seems to be so many different definitions to everything.
Pyro Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 exclusive seems pretty straight forward: dating that one person and no one else.
carhill Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Perhaps reflecting a different commitment style, stbx (my former wife) is the only lady I (will) truly consider to be an 'ex'. My relationships have always been marriage pathways rather than serial BF/GF arrangements, and none other than her proceeded beyond serious dating to an engagement and marriage. Since they're spread around the country and world, it doesn't really matter. If I had to pick one of the offerings, it would be door number one.
