CrayonAngel Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I was just wondering for some reason...probably because it's wednesday(my least favorite day of the week) and I'm still in my Jammies. LOL My H is coming home to have lunch with me and the kiddos. sooo on to my question. Do men like it more when a woman is dressed up (Hair fixed/Makeup on) or when she is natural. (Yes I know Jammies aren't working..lol I will change before he gets here) but to go all out? You always hear guys say..I like you best without makeup! Is this really true?? I saw a lady on DR. Phil one day who said in a very robot manner "all women should dress up for their husbands" I'm more of a natural type girl who doesn't wear alot of makeup unless its an occasion. And my hair is naturally wavy so it doesn't take alot to get it going. but do men really like glam? I really am curious! My friends drive me crazy when they constantly worry about how their makeup looks, clothes, hair...constantly looking in the mirror. BUT maybe I'M the ONE whos doing it all wrong!
just_some_guy Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 It is nice if you look like you tried. Take that for whatever it means in the context of your life, family and relationship.
Married_and_Lonely Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I'd say some light makeup and a cute outfit, but looking like you're about to go out on the town isn't necessary. cute comfortable (is that a style?).. full disclosure: but i'm not a heavy makeup lover no matter the situation
cookie2 Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 For lunch, natural is fine for me. For a dinner out I like to dress up and I like her to too. For dinner in, jammies are fine
She's_NotInLove_w/Me Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I prefer au natural, beauty is true when it is natural... Certainly there are exceptions, ie, night out, nice dinner, etc...
whichwayisup Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 When he comes home from work one evening , during dinner, just casually mention to him that you're not wearing any underwear under your dress..... That's enough.
nddb Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 If 1 is not brushing teeth and hair and in frumpy sleepwear all day. If 10 is slinky little black dress with a 2-hour hairdo, 4-inch heels and war paint. I prefer a 4 or 5 if I see my wife on a normal basis. No make-up necessary when in the house but do shave, smell nice, and have decent hair. Cute clothes. A little light lip gloss is always nice when we leave the house. I try to put on nice clothes, work out, and keep myself decent for my wife, so it goes both ways.

runner Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 its all about context. in most casual cases, just be casual about it and try to keep a lid on the physical insecurities. but on a 'date night', sparkle if you must - it can certainly add to the experience
mem11363 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Given a choice between a wife who stays fit and never bothers with makeup, hair stylists, jewlery, etc. and a wife who does not stay fit but is always perfectly done up - I take the natural / fit look any day hands down. So if you want to put "effort" into appearance, eat healthy and exercise. hungbro Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 It's makes all the difference when your Wife makes the effort, a nice cute skirt/dress and sutle make up can drive you hubby wild!
linwood Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 If a woman never goes out of her way to look good for her husband he begins to think she just doesn`t care what he thinks. I`m not saying to get all made up and decked but a pretty dress and a little effort to entice him will be appreciated. Makes him feel like she wants him.
WintersNightTraveler Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 LOL no one else is willing to just come out and admit they like a woman all made up! Well I sure do. Makeup and clothes done well is very effective and it makes a woman look more attractive. We're simple creatures, so of course this attracts us. Of course real life and circumstance can get in the way... but all else being equal, you're going to get a lot more wow factor with almost every man if you are made up than if you are not.
