Duckster4 Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 (edited) About 2 years ago I dated a guy, for a year. We argued, he left. We did not speak for almost a year because we were too angry, even though we work together and saw each other at work. We started talking again a few months ago. He had a girlfriend, which I did not know, but he acted like he wanted to get back together. She pulled the "loosing my apt, no place to go" thing after meeting me and even though they had only been dating a couple months he let her move in. Now they live together and she quit her job a few weeks after moving in with him too. He knows I still care for him and want to get back together. They have been living together about 2 1/2 months now (she quit her job a couple weeks ago). The thing is, he spends at least one to two hours every day at my desk talking with me, laughing with me, hanging out with me. He seeks me out at his lunch time, his break time, and after work before he goes home. What does he want? His behavior is just like it was when we first met and he was "courting" me before. Actually, he spends more time at my desk now than he did last time. I love him, and I want to get back together, but he has a live in and I am confused. I don't know if he just wants to be friends or if it is something more. Everyone who sees us together asks if we are together because they say it seems like we like each other, like there is something between us. There has been nothing romantic, no kissing or touching of any kind. But there wasn't originally until we actually started dating either. Any guys out there who might be able to give me some insight on what a guy is thinking when he is behaving like this? BTW, if anyone cares, I have not found a single person at work who has a positive thing to say about the gf, and it sure looks like she is just using him. But, all that matters is what he thinks of course. Wait, I was reading some other posts. Am I just the backup plan?????? Edited July 24, 2010 by Duckster4
Author Duckster4 Posted July 24, 2010 Author Posted July 24, 2010 so 57 people have viewed this so far but not one reply???? Does it not make sense to anyone else either then?
BellaBellaBella Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Why you ask him, what he wants? Seems like he is enjoying the attention of both of you.
oldfashiongirlie Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 It's so hard to know what guys want, but to me it sounds like he wants to keep you in his back pocket. Maybe it's an ego boost? Good luck!, you deserve so much more.
