What would happen if the police were to walk in on people having sex in a parked car at night, at the park or a parking lot? The circumstances would be two consenting professional young adults, tinted windows on the car, and at night seemingly out of the publics view. Maybe a park with a view, on the hills etc.. It would be more passionate rather than out of necessity if that makes a difference to the officer meaning that it isn't a daily thing. Just out of curiosity... Would they just ignore it, give a warning, ticket or something more serious?

Would they just ignore it, give a warning, ticket or something more serious? Ide think it would depend on exactly how isolated IE if there maybe a good chance people could be exposed to it. And also just what mood the cops in for every ticket they write theres also allot of paper work to go with it. So maybe just a friendly knock on the window and the thought of the embarrassment would be enough for the cop...

Some countries may also have laws regarding permitting, or being reckless as to whether, a minor watches (or becomes exposed to) sexual activities. In the UK, the laws on dogging are ambiguous; prosecution is possible for a number of offences such as section 5 of the Public Order Act 1986, indecent exposure under section 66 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 or for the common law offence of outraging public decency.(which is known as a 'Common Law Act' and would need detailing in court to establish the nature of the crime, according to the previous links hitherto given). However, ACPO (The Association of Chief Police Officers) policy is that arrests are a last resort and a more gradual and individually appropriate approach should be taken in such circumstances.
Pyro Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Indecent exposure is the first offense to come to mind, but if it's night time and you are in a park then chances are you are there after hours and can be ticketed for trespassing.
laRubiaBonita Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 when it happened to me, we were actually on the playground plus we had been drinking..... my car was there; the cops roll up, we hide in the covered slide- but after a few moments we decide it is best if we just come out of hiding. the cops were actually fairly cool- they could have arrested us both for drinking in the park, trespassing, possible dui- cause going to drink at the park was, of course a drunk decision. they told us there was lots of gang activity in that park, and actually that was the reason they were patrolling the park on a regular basis- they said we were lucky it was them that found us and not the gang. the cops would let me drive my car, since we had been drinking, and i was not allowed to get my car until after sun-up (when the park was open); so one cop took us to 711 and we called a cab and went back to the guy i was with's car (since we had been at a bar before we went to the park). then we waited until 5 am and i got my car. Whew!
GorillaTheater Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 When it happened to me, neither one of us were adults. The cops checked my ID, then told us to scram. We did. And we were out in the middle of nowhere. I still have no idea how they found my car.

Unfortunately, as a dog behaviourist, that's how I refer to my appointments with clients when I literally go see them about their dog's behaviour, and changing it. No sex please, we're British.....

homersheineken Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Heh heh. I got busted having sex in the car w/ my girlfriend. I was 16 at the time. The light shined in the car, the cop walked up, banged on the window, with my member just dangling. He said to pull up and he'd be right back while he ran my plates. Well the call went over the police scanner and my grandparents have a scanner and recognized the plates They called my parents. So my whole family knew about my "discretion". I walked into the house and my dad asked "So how was your night?" I replied "Pretty good." "Anything happen?" Right there I knew I was busted. They took my keys for a week with a smile. I got off with a warning from the cops.
