Pink Cupcakes Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I disagree, guys do use the words interchangeably. Guys generally want to boink women they find attractive, hot, pretty, beautiful, sexy.....same thing to guys, sorry.
USMCHokie Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I disagree, guys do use the words interchangeably. Guys generally want to boink women they find attractive, hot, pretty, beautiful, sexy.....same thing to guys, sorry. So here's a question for the women...what would you rather be described as...? Pretty or hot...? Or beautiful...? Or sexy...? Which makes you feel the best about yourself...?

alyssatranswarrior Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I would laugh my butt off at any guy that tried to look at her in a bikini and say she wasn't hot. He'd have to be a bad liar or gay. Wow . [in response to the blonde girl's album being oggled] Excuse me? I thought hot was in the eye of the beholder? Why must every male on here jump to call her hot? And if not jump on that bandwagon, be invalidated with the label "gay"?? That's really silly, and you are being offensive to try corner people with guilt into thinking shes hot... Your peer pressure mentality is lame. I'm neither a liar, a bad liar, nor gay. I don't particularly find any pic in that album "hot" She has some beauty not doubting that. There are millions of women on beaches in bikinis. Bikini does not automatically equal hot in my book. I also don't see how she considers having education means anything towards "hot". Hot is way way closer to a physical assessment. I've never been exposed once in my life to it being a "package" response. Usually its reserved for people you don't know at all, but have seen. Though for her it seems to be more than that. So, SAGE, think what you want! But DO NOT try blanket your "hot" criteria onto every male.
MrNate Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I disagree, guys do use the words interchangeably. Guys generally want to boink women they find attractive, hot, pretty, beautiful, sexy.....same thing to guys, sorry. This is a negative. lol. First lesson in Guy 101: Just because she's pretty doesn't mean we're thinking about banging her.
Pink Cupcakes Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 So here's a question for the women...what would you rather be described as...? Pretty or hot...? Or beautiful...? Or sexy...? Which makes you feel the best about yourself...? I have been called all of these. They are all compliments so I take them all equally, that I am found appealing.
D-Lish Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 So here's a question for the women...what would you rather be described as...? Pretty or hot...? Or beautiful...? Or sexy...? Which makes you feel the best about yourself...? I'd most value "beautiful". I don't know why, but it somehow seems more awesome a comment than sexy.

I was talking directly to one user who said hot girls aren't worth his time and how he has an education... and I was simply saying that most guys define me as hot (more so than pretty - possibly less so than ugly) and that I too have an education, so I didn't see the difference. I was not saying I am hot because I have an education - thank you. Though smart people are hot. IMHO
sagetalk Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 1. [in response to the blonde girl's album being oggled] 2. Excuse me? I thought hot was in the eye of the beholder? 3. I don't particularly find any pic in that album "hot" 5. She has some beauty not doubting that. There are millions of women on beaches in bikinis. Bikini does not automatically equal hot in my book. There are girls that are just hot period, no interpretation needed. 3. Because she is and they are not blind. If you described her to a blind guy, he'd say she was hot. You think whatever you want, but if go into a crowd of guys and say a girl that attractive isn't hot, you're going to get labeled gay. That's just how it works, I didn't invent the system. 4. Not my system, go try it out for yourself. 5. No bikini doesn't equal hot always, but her in a bikini does equal hot. I would call my girlfriend hot, if I thought she was. But I would mostly focus on saying she was beautiful because I try to be a gentleman as much as possible, sometimes the word just slips out .
tigressA Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I'd most value "beautiful". I don't know why, but it somehow seems more awesome a comment than sexy. Yeah, I feel the exact same way. When I'm called beautiful it just makes my heart go all aflutter. Same with "gorgeous".
You'reasian Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Pretty describes a woman who looks cute based mostly on her facial features. Hot describes a woman whose full body appearance makes you want to make babies, ASAP. Beautiful, however is something completely different. It is its own level - the appearance of the woman makes your jaw drop and you can't stop staring at her.... if you stare too long, you can't stop thinking about her later...
Kinder-Horror Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 So here's a question for the women...what would you rather be described as...? Pretty or hot...? Or beautiful...? Or sexy...? Which makes you feel the best about yourself...? Kinda depends on the situation. Normally, I'd say pretty or beautiful But I've also had a really drunk guy trying to hook up with me constantly saying "you're so beautiful, but you're so beautiful" while incessantly trying to feel me up - so it lost it's charm. haha But hearing my dad, or my boyfriend or a sober stranger say it is usually nice Also, hot or sexy are nice during romantic interludes. hah!
kiss_andmakeup Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 My boyfriend calls me pretty/beautiful when I'm laying in bed in my underwear with my hair undone and no makeup on... He calls me "hot" when I'm wearing something like tight jeans or a miniskirt and have my makeup done in an evening look. I think one can definitely be both pretty and hot at different times. I don't mind being called either.
