These will not publicize themselves during the earlier stages of a social interaction. You need to be able to discuss yourself in a way that is endearing and engaging to whomever you speak. The reason these cocky guys are able to attract more female attention is because they speak about themselves with a perceptible degree of passion. While humility is a fine trait, being timid and overly unassuming when interacting with a woman for the first few times just makes you look completely disengaged and dispassionate. The arrogant types take it to the other extreme, which isn't really good either, but it's an extreme that is more effective because, if nothing else, they are able to better present themselves as a "catch" because they are able to effectively discuss the things that make them valuable. I also find it strange that anyone would be surprised or even disappointed by what is discussed in this article. Is it really that incredulous to think that women don't prefer sheepish men?
