wjg23g Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Hey All- saw some photos of my former flame on vacation in italy with her boyfriend. set me back a bit, & i've been no contact since may (so about 2.5 months). thing was, she was with the boyfriend the whole time we were together, and although she talked about breaking up with him & being official with me, she never did. Instead, she cut me out completely, and we were best friends before we got involved. I know it was never technically a real relationship, but it still hurts and I still miss her. At times I don't think of her (say maybe a day or 2), but I often get the idea of trying to reconnect with her when school starts in the fall. Really though, I know she has moved on (or back with the boyfriend), but I haven't completely. I think there was a reason she was so attracted to me in the first place that caused her to be with me for a couple months, but I know I should just let it go. Problem is I'm struggling. LS- please help me to realize that not only is it completely over but that I need to move on and not make an attempt to reconnect with her.

Don't ever let a picture of one moment in time make you think that everything in their life is great. I know you're hurting but a woman like this was probably not for you anyway. Remember, if she was doing something on the side with you...what's to keep it from happening again with someone else. A relationship of any sort is a two way street. It's not just about her feelings but yours as well. She's doing what she needs to do to keep herself happy, you need to do the same. Focus on yourself and your needs. There's someone out there for all of us who will give us the attention we need and deserve. It was never going to be her.
