pureinheart Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 I was wondering if there is somewhere to report bad customer service other than Angies List...or is Angies List the best option? Case #1...water heater...got it replaced in 2008, trying to avoid any breakdowns I like all new stuff (water heater was bad anyway). Called local place to get it replaced. It made a really bad noise. I called local place and the just of the conversation was screw you, call the manufacturer. I said, but you guys installed it and I paid good money for the labor (close to 400$ and they didn't replace any of the copper connections BTW)...they got mean and nasty so I got mean and nasty back sort of. I called the manufacturer and they sent someone out and said my state just changed the qualifications so they tried to see if the altered part was faulty and found that it wasn't and said there was nothing they could do. When it fires up it sounds like a diesel truck down shifting...it doesn't sound good at all. Can I write a letter to the editor in my town and name the original company that installed it, or is that against the law to name them. The manufacturer was cool, but the company that installed it in the first place was rude and didnot stand behind their work... I have a long list of stuff just like this concerning businesses that are not following through, lying and cheating their customers...whhat can I really do?
Serenitynow Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Write the Better Business Bureau ? I dont trust those Angie list sites. Anyone can make a fake comment either bad or good about someone. Dont you realize how easy it is for a plumber, electrician, etc to go on there and post a fake positive message about their own company ?

Gotcha...and thanks, I didn't even think about the BBB, although they are the ones I really need anyway:) Yep, you are so right about that:)
