McGrupp Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 and hear me out...if your dog dies it totally sucks. but the best way to get over that, is to get another dog. same concept here
TaraMaiden Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 You never - but never - get over the last dog dying. A new dog is not a replacement. Not even close. A new dog, is a new day. but the old dog is a life remembered. Cherished and treasured. Dogs love unconditionally. That's why they are so special. When you choose to make comparisons, make sure they're flawless.....
mickleb Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 and hear me out...if your dog dies it totally sucks. but the best way to get over that, is to get another dog. same concept here So, if you ex dies it doesn't suck..? As a wise friend told me, some dogs are 'once in a lifetime dogs'. They can never be replaced. I prefer a good grieve to a rebound hound. x
GorillaTheater Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Ex's are alot more like colonoscopies. Personally, I'd rather have a dog than a colonoscopy.
D-Lish Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 and hear me out...if your dog dies it totally sucks. but the best way to get over that, is to get another dog. same concept here If/When my dogs pass away, that's it for me. I won't replace them because they can't be replaced - they are too special to me to just buy two new puppies and think I can get over it.
TouchedByViolet Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Na dogs are worth much more. When my roommate's dog is barking I see what the problem is. When an ex is barking I simply ignore.
GrayClouds Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 I prefer a good grieve to a rebound hound. x best line of the day!
xpaperxcutx Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 But dogs would never say " I want to break up" or tear your heart to pieces. In fact, they'll just love you to death. Maybe I should marry my dog.
GrayClouds Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 But dogs would never say " I want to break up" Or: "I love you but I am just not in love with you" But on the other hand some EX's, like dogs they do not deal with their own crap very well and before you know it you've stepped right in to it.
USMCHokie Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 I've never had a dog...so I cannot grasp this analogy...
hurt and devastated Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 And at least the dog is happy to see you when you come home....
Star Gazer Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Maybe I should marry my dog. As Carrie Underwood would say: The more boys I meet, the more I love my dog!
marsle85 Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 They're the same, except my dog rarely licks my toes.
TaraMaiden Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 no your wrong No... I think (judging by the consensus of opinion above, that actually..) You're wrong.
