Not sure where to put this. So sorry ahead of time, if it's in the wrong section. Please let me know where I should post something like this for next time. :)

Ok. You know when you can feel someone looking at you? I'm always feeling this girl looking at me, and every time I look up, she's staring at me. If she liked me, I'd think she'd look away, since I caught her. Instead, she continues to look. Weird.

Girl just looking? or...?

When I stare at guys, I am either attracted to them, intrigued, flirting or crushing. :)

Maybe you have a booger hanging out of your nose.

Was she staring or looking + smiling. Women are usually more subtle when checking out men. If she's a seasoned flirter, it may be intentional that she let you catch her. But then it should be followed up with something, like a simple smile or the "oh I'm so cute & shy" thing, or whatever her game is.

But it's difficult for guys to figure out women's motives. If you think she's cute, go talk to her and get her number. Although don't be surprised if she shuts you down. Sometimes they're just after a quickie ego boost.

Well if you "like" her then why not go flirt with her.

If you don't like her then just ignore it.

Why don't you talk to her and ask her out if you like her.

Go talk to her and find out, if you're interested in her she probably feels the same way about you.

What is the environment that this is taking place ?

Thanks everyone for the responses. ;)

This is at school. I'm taking college summer courses. Just wondering why. Not interested, since I don't really know her.

That's a great method to remaining single, presuming that's what you want. :)

After a few decades of this, I have no firm conclusions. Most have been ego feeds (the ones I responded to) and a few have turned out to be nice, non-romantic friends. IMO, when mutual 'observation' is going on, there's some sort of a basic connection occurring, but it's up to each of the parties to act on that in a healthy way, with 'healthy' underlined, for it to turn into anything. If they're not on the same page, it just gets filed into the 'what if' category in life, as seems to have happened here. Hope school goes well :)

Make a gesture like saying with a Russian accent: "you want?" See if she has a sense of humor or is just socially illiterate having not heard that it's impolite to stair.

Dude you don't have to know a girl to be interested in the way she looks. Obviously you are interested enough in the girl to come online and think about her. I say you GET TO REALLY KNOW HER.

Thanks. I hope school goes well, too. I took 7 credits in June and am taking another 7 this month. Girl can stare me all she wants. :lmao:

Are you M or F? If you're a guy, maybe she's wishing you'd come over and talk to her.

If you're F and straight, just tell her politely that she needs to tune her set. I said this once to some gay guy who was checking me out once... the "set" refers to gaydar. Never fails to get a laugh from them.

She's trying to read your mind in order to get answers for the test. I suggest a helmet made of aluminum foil. Put that on and you won't have to worry about strange looks ever again.

She could be flirting with you, although only a very confident woman could stare at a guy she liked for long time without looking away.

However, I have learned the hard way that just because a woman stares does not necessarily mean that she is interested.

If you like this girl then what you need to do the next time you see her staring at you is to stare back and wait for her to look away first. If she eventually looks away nervously, then you know that she is probably interested and you should try to talk to her.

:lmao: Good one.

I might stare back just to see what's up. It's not everyday someone stares me down. Or I might pretend like I don't feel being stared at anymore.

YOU need to see for yourself. She may very well be just looking for a response for an ego boost, or she is trying to let you know she may be into you and that YOU should do something about it.

Nonetheless, if she is like 98% of all other females in this world, if YOU don't try, she will never do it herself. In fact, she may even act offended if you don't try after engaging eye contact with her, etc.

Yep, in 2010, even after women's "liberation," they do not want the "liberty" to be able to initiate contact. She expects you to do it, and if you don't try, you will most likely never get to know anything but the "what if ..." thoughts.

All the best,

Curt
