Arypm Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 hello, I met this girl right before summer started and I really like her, we have been on about 3 or 4 dates. The first date was to wonderland with a group (3) of friends and it was my first time actually being with her, it started off casually and then it escalated and started holding hands about halfway through the day, we held hands held each other (my hands around her hips/back) for the rest of the day. The bus ride home was me and her sitting together and she rested her body on me the whole ride (40 mins) while I was gently moving my hands up and down her legs and across her stomach, it was passionate. Right before the bus dropped us off we made out.. After that we went to the movies a few days after, held eachother made out again etc. her mom invited me to their house for supper that night and I went and had a good time, me and the girl have been texting a lot lately.. we've been on 1 or 2 more dates after this. I'm wondering when I should ask her to be my girlfriend and if i'm rushing it if I plan to do it soon, we are going to the movies tomorrow and im going to her house for a barbecue on saturday so I was planning on asking at the barbecue. note: I asked her in a text saying if she was ready for a relationship while we were playing "20 questions" texting and she responded with " In the near future" (this was before we went to the movies for the first time) I don't want to screw it up by asking early like I have in the past and I also don't want to screw it up by waiting too long, this just seems like an odd relationship so far because we already kissed/held eachother passionately before dating. Hopefully someone could give some advice, thanks.
that girl Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 How old are you? It sounds like you are in high school and usually high school couples go offical sooner than 30 year olds. You could hedge your bets by saying something like, "I could see you being my girlfriend but I'm not sure if you would think it is too soon." It lets her know you're interested in her but takes a little pressure off.
