LilMermaid Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 I'd like to transition out of that friend position, but subtly, without having to make a dramatic confession. My longtime friend (we liked each other in elementary school and always had a connection) recently broke up with his serious girlfriend. We are planning to meet and catch up after not seeing each other for about a year, and it seems like the stars have finally aligned for us (at least in my mind). Do you have any tips to casually show a bit of interest and feel out the situation? We've been friends for so long I'd hate to ruin our friendship with something too awkward.
skydiveaddict Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 It's easy for a girl. Just kiss him. problem solved

Yamaha Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 For a women, a little flirting and eye contact should do the trick. Let him know he is attractive.

vestigalvirgin Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Invite him over to your place for a nice home cooked meal. When he arrives, be naked.
MrNate Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Invite him over to your place for a nice home cooked meal. When he arrives, be naked. There better be food. Otherwise, I'm walking.
sagetalk Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 If you were a guy you'd be in huge trouble, but you're a girl so it's a breeze. Put on a tight outfit, laugh at his jokes, and if he's too shy go for a kiss. You'll have all the info you need after that.
TouchedByViolet Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Your situation is simple, just be sexy. Put on a nice summer dress or an outfit you look best in and you will be free of any friend zone. A word of caution though... since he just broke up with someone don't play the role of a rebound... Make sure he is genuinely into you otherwise you will just be hurt in the long run
