whathappened1340 Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Here is my mystery. I got in touch with on old flame from 20 years ago via Facebook.Actually she friend me,we corresponded for awhile several months ago the she just stopped? SO recently I sent her a message asking if she would like to meet for a drink. Much to my surprise she got my number from Facebook and texted the very next day. We set up a meet that night. Several hours later in the day she said that she had forgotten that she was watching her sisters kids that night. I told her I would call later and set up a new date. Her response was that it would be to hectic that night to call and she would call me. She never called? I was going to drop it but texted her a week later and asked if she had changed her mind. Her response was no but was working lots of hours and was tired. Oh yea in our first "conversation she told me her kids were out of town and had lots of free time. I left with a text that I under stood the work thing ant to call any time. Of course she has not called. The question is what happened between her basically setting up the date and hours later disappearing again. Should I drop it or am I doing something wrong ?
YellowShark Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Should I drop it or am I doing something wrong ? DROP HER. She has no real interest. She is a ghost from the past that is a ghost once again. If she had REAL interest she would make time to see you and not make up endless excuses. Ancient Chinese proverb... "You don't loose what you never had..."
Author whathappened1340 Posted July 11, 2010 Author Posted July 11, 2010 I'm sure your right makes no sense why she bothered to set up date.
YellowShark Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 I'm sure your right makes no sense why she bothered to set up date. I am right. Don't even bother to think why she did what she did. Her actions speak louder than words. If she was REALLY interested she would either say "yes," or she would have given you a counter offer such as, "I forgot I am watching my sisters kids that night... can we go out Friday instead?" Trust me on this. She's a no go.
AlwaysConflicted Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 This has happened to me before as well. It means nothing. A moment of nostalgia. Actually, I've been thinking of deleting my facebook account because I'm sick of looking at all the ghosts.
