Author SadandConfusedWA Posted July 10, 2010 Author Posted July 10, 2010 not true love. Do you consider your experience with Denver guy to be unrequited love A?
Ariadne Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Do you consider your experience with Denver guy to be unrequited love A? No, I believe it was true love.
Author SadandConfusedWA Posted July 10, 2010 Author Posted July 10, 2010 No, I believe it was true love. I hope that this doesn't sound harsh and I don't mean to offend you in any way, but I think that was a classic example of unrequited love. I am just worried that you are going to spend another 5 years thinking that it's something that it isn't and wasn't. I have seen almost all the correspondence between you two. It wasn't true love. But I do completly understand how hard it is to let go still.

Author SadandConfusedWA Posted July 10, 2010 Author Posted July 10, 2010 Yeah, maybe I'll meet someone I like someday. Who knows. I hope you don't hate me now I just think that as a friend I should be honest with you. And of course you will meet someone - but you must be willing to let the ghost of this guy go first.
Gero Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Yeah, maybe I'll meet someone I like someday. Who knows. I live near you.

CailinPig Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Unrequited love is: sometimes unrequited!! painful heartbreaking something that makes the lover turn crazy! something that tests you to your limits
LondonS Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 its waste of time...I read someones signals wrong and apprached him, wasted time thinking about if he is into me n what not.... then after a while, I changed my mind and dropped him because it turns out that I am not that into him as well... solution is, approach the person, test the waters, if he is not interested, move on right away...plenty of fish n all that
Crusoe Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 According to Charlie Brown, it's what takes the taste out of peanut butter.
threebyfate Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Unrequited love is: d) A waste of time and energy.
SilentVoice Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 : Sad , Depressing , Painful... on both sides -- sigh
Author SadandConfusedWA Posted July 10, 2010 Author Posted July 10, 2010 d) A waste of time and energy. I agree with this. It's like you take your emotional and mental energy and throw it into a void. You would be better off putting that energy into pretty much anything else (that includes non-romantic pursuits). Not to mention the time, and the fact that you are making yourself essentially emotionally unavailable to others .
Feelin Frisky Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 It depends. If one has tried to get close and has been rejected bluntly, it is foolish to keep a torch. If however one means having a total crush on someone that is real in their own sphere but can't or is somehow seld-defeating about trying--like putting it of until thaey remake themselves into something more than they've been, it can be a wonderful feeling that is good for you even if you never connect with this other person. It's enfatuation, I know, but it can be so uplifting just to see your secret idea pass by. It's not at all sad but just the opposite-it has awaken your dormant heart.
kiss_andmakeup Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 I feel like I remember this question from the OkCupid questionnaire. Am I correct?
