Serenitynow Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 I'm going to be 40 this year. I'm not sure if its just me, but it seems I am horrible at figuring out the age of younger women. To me the 25 - early 30ish women all seem to blend together. I would much rather date a women at least 30 or older. But just thought I'd ask here since I havent seen it mentioned.
Gero Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 It's odd, but I have usually been pretty good at guessing the age of women.
Green Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Well if its off INTERNET pictures you really CAN'T guess. If you are meeting these women in person you really shouldn't have a problem being able to spot a woman over 30. Have you been acidently dating women who end up being under 30 and if so has it happened enough times to worry you? I really wouldn't worry about it if I were you.
Knittress Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Sheesh man, why SHOULD women in that age bracket look all that different? We're not like slowly wilting lettuce in the back of the fridge. While women in that age range aren't exactly teenagers, they shouldn't be showing much signs of wear if they've been taking care of themselves.

Please its pretty easy to see when a woman is over 40... Heck I can even spot dead give aways of wether a woman is in her 20's or 30's. I'm very rarely wrong.
MrNate Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 lol. Yes. There is a clear distinction in women in terms of age brackets. 20, 30, 40, all show pretty differently. Except if an amazing youth gene runs in your family like mine. Then people think your mother is your big sister.

Women in their 20's differ in their behavior from women in their 30's. Looks aren't the only thing to pay attention to if you want to meet someone you will enjoy and appreciate.

If you are meeting these women in person you really shouldn't have a problem being able to spot a woman over 30. Have you been accidentally dating women who end up being under 30 and if so has it happened enough times to worry you? I really wouldn't worry about it if I were you. I'm not worried about it. As I said I simply brought it up since I havent noticed anyone talk about it here. I know its hard for people to pay attention the first time , but I understand sometimes I need to say things twice. No this has nothing to do with dating, it simply stems from observing people in public, work, etc. Sheesh man, why SHOULD women in that age bracket look all that different? If they arent showing signs of wear than that means it should be hard to distinguish. Amazing how some things fly right over a persons head. Women in their 20's differ in their behavior from women in their 30's. Looks aren't the only thing to pay attention to if you want to meet someone you will enjoy and appreciate. You would think thats a general rule of thumb, but there are plenty of males and females that can prove you wrong on that statement

I know its hard for people to pay attention the first time , but I understand sometimes I need to say things twice. I don't think you pay attention to what you write as you specificaly said that YOU were HORIBLE at figuring age of women. Even told us you are almost 40. No this has nothing to do with dating, it simply stems from observing people in public, work, etc. Once again maybe YOU don't pay attention... but this is the DATING section you posted this thread in smart guy.
Author Serenitynow Posted July 10, 2010 Author Posted July 10, 2010 So because I am horrible at something I need to worry about it ? I'm horrible at golf, welding, playing any musical instrument, flying an airliner, giving motivational speeches to large crowds, cutting hair, doing nails, computer programming, calculus, tricks on a skateboard, whistling, and probably a million other things. Do you worry about the things you are horrible at ?
Green Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 I wouldn't come into the "DATING" section of "LS" and talk about how "HORIBLE" I am at some particular aspect of "DATING" and then tell a poster they don't listen and that the thread has nothing to do with dating. Tell me WHAT does it even matter if you can't tell the difference between some one in their 20's and some one in their 30's if it has nothing to do with dating? I mean what next a thread about how you can't tell the difference between trannies and hookers?
Knittress Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Sheesh man, you just proved my point. If they arent showing signs of wear than that means it should be hard to distinguish. Amazing how some things fly right over a persons head. Your condescension isn't particularly charming, perhaps you ought to keep that in mind as you frequent the dating boards. The expectation that a 27 year old woman ought to be physically distinguishable from a 31 year old, is well... odd. Also odd is that this number would hold more weight than your actual perceptions of a person.
