But anyway, my boyfriend texted me while I was doing it and I told him that I was cutting it. First thing he said was "Why? I like it long though :(". I told him I wasnt cutting it shorter... just adding bangs. Then he said "I thought it was fine the way it was. I like the one in the picture with it long." He was referring to my facebook profile picture. I told him well, I already cut it. And he just says "I guess." ..... For some reason I'm feeling sad/annoyed by his comments. Am I being too sensitive?
JennaLee Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 He'll get over it. My boyfriend doesn't want me cutting my hair, he likes it long-- but guess what? It's my hair and I do what I want with it. =) Don't worry about your boyfriend liking it or not, as long as YOU like it is all that matters. You're not changing who you are, just a slight change in appearance, so he shouldn't be affected too much. =p
Meuk Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I wouldnt go as far as calling this a 'red flag' just yet, hes just annoyed cause he remembers you as you were and not everyone likes change!. He'll get over it im sure, well providing you havent cut all your hair off. Im not keen on short haired women and have told my other half this but i love her for who she is, and would still be with her if she did so. As stated its your hair after all.

I just added bangs (and I think they look cute...) It's not like you're having a full-sized full-colour skull-and-crossbones tattoo across your chest....with a knife through the eye-socket... and a worm coming out the mouth. You should have told him you were getting that done, then surprised him by saying - "Hah! Fooled you! Just kidding! I had bangs cut in my hair!!" He would have been soooo relieved then.....!
