john 07 Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Should I be worried there was no hug or kiss on first date?? The thing is we kissed before in the clubs but I don't count that since we were drunk! Domost people kiss or hug on first dates? I know this girl is a bit conservative. I have a second date tomorrow since she really wanted to see a movie. I don't want to fall in the friend zone.... Ah what do you guys think? Any advice??
USMCHokie Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 1) Yes, you should have kissed on the first date. 2) Clubs are a terrible place for a first date. 3) Being piss ass drunk is not a good idea for a first date. 4) Don't see a movie on a second date. Do a real first date instead.
TouchedByViolet Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Don't want to be friend zoned huh? Easy put your arm around her in the movie theater. Kiss her on the cheek at some point. Use your natural charm and with any luck it will lead to a makeout session. Its like high school 101!
Author john 07 Posted July 8, 2010 Author Posted July 8, 2010 I suggested other activites but she really wants to see eclipse or something like that. Ahhh I haven't gone on dates in forever. I feel out dated.....
Diezel Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Tell her to go watch Eclipse with other females. Don't lose your man card on that crap. Tell her what you want to do.
D-Lish Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I suggested other activites but she really wants to see eclipse or something like that. Ahhh I haven't gone on dates in forever. I feel out dated..... Oh Jaysus... I don't know why girls drag guys to chick flicks.
Diezel Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Oh Jaysus... I don't know why girls drag guys to chick flicks. No kidding. It's a test. I'd blatantly tell her to go see it on her own and that I'm just going to go out with some friends to hit a bar or two. She can do that on her own time.

Not many. It seems like historically girls get to pick the movies and guys are supposed to grin and bear it in the hopes of getting a BJ for their sacrifice:lmao: JK. I have no inclination to watch The Notebook, lol- I have never seen it and I never will. I hate chick flicks. Ugh.

I can tell you havn't dated in a while. You should have just KISSED her. Take her out to a really cool mini golf place if you know of one. If theres a cool water park around that you think you would both enjoy I suggest that too.

Still, he should respectfully decline and set something else some other time or straight up tell her that he doesn't want to see glittery vampires. I'd rather pass up the BJ if it means sitting through two hours of watching the newest version of Keanu Reeves stink up the silver screen.

I think you can measure a person based on whether or not they have the capacity to compromise. If a girl insists about dragging a date to "The Notebook", she's only thinking about herself- not her date.

USMCHokie Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 If a girl insists about dragging a date to "The Notebook", she's only thinking about herself- not her date. Hey now...The Notebook was a delightful movie... But then again, I watched it in the privacy of my own room the day after my breakup...
Diezel Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Hey now...The Notebook was a delightful movie... But then again, I watched it in the privacy of my own room the day after my breakup... Sorry to hear about your man-card being revoked.
USMCHokie Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 (edited) Sorry to hear about your man-card being revoked. Man-card...? I don't think they ever gave me one of those... Edited July 8, 2010 by USMCHokie
D-Lish Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Hey now...The Notebook was a delightful movie... But then again, I watched it in the privacy of my own room the day after my breakup... You did? Lol. I think you get a free pass on this one because you were in a break up fog Chokie:laugh: Sorry to hear about your man-card being revoked. He didn't see it in public, so I think he still gets to keep it doesn't he? Then again, he announced he liked it publically... I'll have to check the rulebook on this one. Man-card...? I don't think they ever gave me one of those... You can have mine if you'd like, it came with my ticket when I saw the premiere of "Terminator 2".
skydiveaddict Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Sorry to hear about your man-card being revoked. I would be careful about telling a marine his man card has been revoked. You ever been through boot camp?
Diezel Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 (edited) I would be careful about telling a marine his man card has been revoked. You ever been through boot camp? Yes, I have. And all I really need to tell you is that if I EVER admitted to watching the Notebook by myself and crying my eyes out, it'd probably had been grounds for a court martial or dishonorable discharge. I'll give him a free pass, because as D said, it was after his break-up. But next time, he's sentenced to watching MANLY movies to get morale up. Any further questions? Edited July 8, 2010 by Diezel
