teanoranges Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 So a mutual friend went out of his way to tell me how my ex is 'going out of town' for a few days.... where? the beach with his new girl? Guess what, I don't care. but I don't want to say that to him so I'm not saying anything. In fact, this 'mutual' friend is starting to really annoy me. I guess that's a bit of a sign that I just don't care anymore... the rose-colored glasses are coming all the way off, even in effect to his friends. I just want to slap them both. haha. thank you LS for letting me vent.
hurt and devastated Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Sounds to me like he's just trying to get a rise out of you. Maybe next time he says something like that you should tell him you don't appreciate him telling you everything your ex is doing, and if he doesn't stop after that just stop talking to him also.
Author teanoranges Posted July 7, 2010 Author Posted July 7, 2010 you know, I am distancing myself from him more and more every time he does something rude (most of the time it has nothing to do with ex.. but more that I'm realzing he's not that great of a friend to me) I don't really want to be confrontational by mentioning anything, because I know that's how he'd take it... so I'm just going to kinda NC him.. lol... but more LC I guess... oooh how NC/LC works wonders...
katchacole Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I know what you mean.. I had a mutual friend who told me that my ex is cancelling his trip to Las Vegas to be with his gf. And he tells me that he thinks my ex is using his new gf for sex. I mean literally bad mouths about them two. Gosh!! I was pointing out that he is serious about her by posting "in a relationship with...." on FB and lets her move in a few weeks after our so-called break up. I am doing LC with that mutual friend. Oh gosh! I was furious about that and try to understand my ex is moving on and he rub it into my face. Is that mutual friend my friend? Basically, I know what you mean..
