Sadcakesleo Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Hi everybody, just need some quick advice about this girl I met. Was kind of random through a friend of a friend at a bday dinner. We hit it off well and took a bunch of pictures together, she even mentioned that I should go to this concert with all of them. Even her friend said she normally never shows that much interest in a guy. Anyways problem is I never got her phone number because I assumed she would go to the club with us after dinner. Unfortunately she had to work early so she left before the club and I didn't get a chance to say bye. I ended up being her friend on fb and I messaged her this: "hey there! just wanted to say hi. You missed out after miyake's that night. Wish you were there we had a good time except the fact jarod almost got into a fight lol. Had work at 8 the next day so I was dragging ass pretty badly. Anyways is that your daughter in your profile picture? cute picture she's pretty just like her mom haha. well you have a good rest of monday and talk to you soon. bye!" A week went by and she finally responded with this: hii there! lol.. so sorry for the late reply! ya, Miyake's was fun! I had to work the morning after too, that's why I couldn't party with all of you after.. =/ oh well, next time.. YUP that's my daughter in the pic.. aww thx.. she's a sweetheart. hope ya had a good 4th! have a great week!! My question to you guys is what the heck do I say now. She didn't exactly leave me with an opening. I could just ask for her phone number but I feel like I should probably send 1 more message or 2. Problem is what do I say?. She is 8 years older than me and has a kid so she doesn't seem like she gets on fb a lot. Another thing is I got out of a 5 year relationship 6 months ago and dated a few girls after and they didn't turn out so well because I was a little rusty lol. So any advice on what to say or do would be very helpful. thnx

She probably only signed up on facebook to just continue to stay "trendy". As for not leaving an opening, well, I think that says it all as well. If she had been interested, she would have said something like "Yea sorry I missed out, we'll have to do a rain check or something!". Re-planning a missed encounter is one way of showing interest.
Serenitynow Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Send her another message, ask for her number, tell her youd like to call her sometime to get together. How is that so hard ? .
