Had a talk with the girl I have been seeing for a month. We talk a lot she realizes the reason why I haven't had a relationship. We got to talking and she said "I would never treat you like your last gf did" I said "I know etc.." she said "not that I am your gf" I respond "well one day you will be" she said "yeah one day." She went on to say she's really impressed by me etc..

So lets have have LS posters. Was she hinting at a relationship? I mean like I mentioned earlier she has mentioned a lot of things she wants to do and go out so obviously things are fine.

I always worry when people use the phrase "I wouldn't do... " because it often means they're already thinking about doing it, otherwise they wouldn't have brought it up.

Yeah I think she's hinting at a relationship. She just wanted to see your reaction to it.

That's what I figured. Not sure what I wanna do now. She's got me thinking though.

Women want a sensitive guy but they also want someone who's strong.

If you don't think she's long term material, let her go.

On the other hand, if you like her, take it easy and keep doing what you are doing. Don't fall into the trap of telling her how much you think it's a great idea and how you should move ahead with it even quicker. A relationship is built over time, not on some random commitment.

I agree with all of this. It shouldn't be on some random commitment. I mean I really like her as well I was thinking after she returns from vaca I would just see her opinion on moving things forward. We both have busy schedules but we have always made time to go out. Even today she's busy doing stuff for work and vacation so no lunch but she wants to get together on Mon or Wed. It does tell me that she is interested and cares.

The answer?

YES.

She's not demanding to be your girlfriend right this second, but it sounds like she's letting you know that she is interested in something more serious at some point. You gotta respect her for that.

Listen to your gut and be honest.

I agree I get the idea she wants this to move forward and I give her a lot of credit for coming out and saying these things, she is the one after all that started talking to me. She realizes I am shy in regards to that stuff and maybe if I actually discussed about moving things forward if I truly believe in doing that she would look upon that as coming out of my shell a bit.

This sounds sorta like the situation that I am in although sorta different. She mentions things that we should do or places we should go in the future. I think she does like me, but I am shy and nervous and so haven't progressed things yet. We've been on 2 dates and we haven't kissed yet. I'm making plans with her for tomorrow so hopefully that works out. :D

I hope things work out with you and her. :D

I hope it works out for you. In your case please kiss her. In fact the first time I went out with this girl I am seeing I tried to kiss her and she said she doesn't kiss on the 1st date. Fair enough, I thought it was a big mistake but we have been going out for a month. If anything I think with what I did showed I was physically attracted to her.

Do NOT ask her about moving things forward.

Let HER bring that up. Trust me, just keep doing things the way you are, and eventually she will bring it up. Until then, just stay the course.

When she's ready to be your girlfriend, she'll definitely let you know with the: "What are we" speech.

That's interesting. Didn't she already kind of bring it up in regards to "If I was your girlfriend I wouldn't hurt you. So you really think she would definitely bring it up?

YES.

She can bring up the topic many times, but at the point she'll want exclusivity with you, she'll ask you what you two are and where you two stand.

Thanks, I can buy this. Lots of good advice in this thread.

I think it's fine to let her be the one to bring it up, but be prepared to have an answer!

First be more straight forward,do you want to have a relationship with her? Then go for it.If this is a hint, dont wait too long, coz even thought, she doesnt want to be too obviously That`s girls .Other hand, girls love to use "I would never...." they are just love to be better, and nicer.

It was just one of those conversations early in the morning. I have been thinking long and hard about things and I think I will really pursue things when she returns from Florida. I see her for lunch one final time before she leaves but I won't be asking any relationship type questions don't want anything to hang over anyone's head, not fair to anybody involved.

i've been hanging out with a woman from time to time because I enjoy her company.

she's always calling me & asking if I want to hang out.

I assumed she just wanted to be friends so i'm cool with that.

I was mentioning how I was golfing & the other guys were getting bombarded by their women wondering when their going to be done & home & how happy I was I didn't have to deal with that anymore (almost divorced)

And she always tells me she'd never be like that.

And I wonder if she's hinting at something.

Then later on mentions how all the good ones are taken these days. LOL!

I just tell her thanks a lot then go get another beer. LOL!

I'd say she is letting you know she wouldn't treat you bad.
