just_some_guy Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 I don't get it. Here I am, mid-40's. OK looking, healthy, a little chubby, nothing special. When I was young, I couldn't get women to look at me if I stood on my head with $100 bills plastered all over me. Now I'm middle-aged, married twice and nearing second divorce and there are all kinds of women interested in me. An odd situation, one I'm not accustomed to, believe me.

Women see that confidence. Me - I've been getting looks and flirts, but it's still too soon. Gonna chill for a little while and enjoy my family friends for a bit .

Don't want to go down the road of "same frame, different picture". Things need to change within me, to heal, grow, come to a peaceful center within myself.

She is a Jungian and I have now done a great deal of reading, study and work in that direction. It has been very helpful, in spite of my skepticism. I see the role of the unconscious mind and of the various Jungian archetypes at work. That and working to heal the internal damage of an abusive childhood. At last, the uncertain, shy, internal voice is getting a chance to sing.

Maybe it's because a "cougar" as you call it, is just looking to get laid, and these guys aren't trying, but there seems to be a growing interest in them for some reason. A much older man with a 20 something year old....you're right....they are not looking to just get laid......LMAO!! Maybe it's because a "cougar" as you call it, is just looking to get laid, and these guys aren't trying, but there seems to be a growing interest in them for some reason. Other than that I don't know. LOL!! But so are the 20 somethings..... I can honestly say that the 20 somethings that have hit on me were only looking to get laid. Had to walk away and turn that down....sorry, want a MAN, not a BOY! :laugh: The whole thing is debatable anyways....I say to each their own.
