some people tuck away the grief of a loss instead of dealing with it. it inevitably resurfaces when they're reminded of the loss, at some points. my question is - if you know you've tucked away something like that, what's the healthy way to deal with it?

If you tuck something away like that I don't think there is a healthy way to deal with it. Sometime you are going to have to deal with whatever it was, and it's going to hit you ten times worse.
