girlygirl25 Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 If your SO gets a haircut you don't like would you: A) Tell them you don't like it flat out B) Tell them you liked it the other way, but it still looks nice C) Tell them you like it out of politeness
Feelin Frisky Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 My g/f of five years (an African American) got her hair buzzed to the root. I freaked out. When I finally cooled down and we went out in my car, I popped a CD in not knowing that the first song started off with Roger Daltrey of the Who singing "don't want no bald-headed woman". She choked me playfully as it was an incredible coincidence and something I did not plan. True but appropriate coincidence that I wish I did plan.
USMCHokie Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 I've never had a girlfriend get a major haircut, but I'd probably say: B) Tell them you liked it the other way, but it still looks nice
Author girlygirl25 Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 Thanks for the responses. I have been on both sides of this now, my boyfriend got his haircut very short one time and I didn't like it. I didn't freak out but he could see my facial expression. He said it would grow back so I got over it. A few days ago I got bangs cut and it does look very different. Ever since, boyfriend has been making "innocent comments" about my bangs. I told him it annoyed me but he keeps joking with me. I was very excited about the new haircut but now I'm starting to not even like it.
threebyfate Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 When H gets a haircut that looks good, he gets a compliment. When he gets a haircut that doesn't look as good, I say nothing. Most often, he wears his hair around 1/2 too long on top for my taste but I keep my mouth shut.
