There is an enormous disincentive for men to marry. Better for them to pump and dump modern feminist American women who are heading down a slippery slope toward masculinity. While American women are seizing vapid, paper-pushing upper level management jobs, bleeding the government with entitlements, and letting their eggs dry up (or storing them in a freezer), they are slowly turning off the American male to the idea (or necessity) of marriage and long term commitment. Men will pursue sex with women regardless of the challenge. In today's society, the opportunities are there for alpha males to ***k these women but not to commit. There remains, however, a vast underclass of betas and omegas ready to take up the provider/commitment role, once the woman has mellowed and grown desperate. These men have their own problems - they're effeminate and submissive and are probably cuckolds in waiting - but they fill a role for the modern American feminazi. Our biological directives are enduring. Again, men will pursue sex - easier the better. Women will search for top genes and a provider (not always the same guy). I think you're going to see a spike in marriages between American men and foreign (non-Western European) women in the coming years, and a lot of lonely U.S. spinsters who thought they didn't need men. Though I am sure many will disagree with that statement. There are some that are making it out in the world just fine without the opposite sex. They aren't bitter, they are just independent. Everyone is different, there will be ones that needs someone and some that don't. As for not wanting "sappy romance" maybe it's you who don't want that. I'd rather have sappy romance...just romance period over having a bad relationship with a hot guy that treats you like crap. I never cared about getting the hottest guy in the world, I rather settle for someone who loves me for me...not the sex appeal.

While I don't LIKE MOST people of either sex, (I find most people boring, annoying and small minded) I do NEED my friends and my wonderful husband. I can't imagine a more depressing life than one devoid of friends or lovers. I would not want to live on a desert island with a bunch of women and no men. I'd go nuts around all the high drama!

No more social pressure as there once used to be to get off our butts and work 2 or more jobs to support the family and expect to get married and start a family in their 20's. Don't know where that statement came from, but from all the friends I have and the people I know I haven't heard of one to complain about that. While there are guys I know who do like a submissive girl...that is a whole other department and mostly has nothing to do with bringing home the bacon.
