Plagueround Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Alright, so I`m 20 and she`s 18. We`ve known each other for some time now due to my Dad being married to her Mom, BUT we are not biologically related in anyway. I am really attracted to her (so is everyone else though, she is stunning) and she is starting to make it obvious that she is attracted to me. I wanted to know what you guys thought of the ethics of this - having intimate relations with my non-biological step-sister. At the age of 20 all I can do is think with my dick so I may not be able to see the consequences of this. I`m also into this whole "risk-taking" phase where I do seemingly inconsequential thinks just for kicks, but this may be taking it too far.
norajane Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Did you grow up with her living in the same house? Did you think of her as your sister all along? It screams icky to me, but others might have a different view? I dunno. I'm stuck on ewwww! And even if I get past the icky, if the relationship fails (which almost all do at your age), it will be really uncomfortable at home for all of you. The parents will probably be against it as well, very much so. Search further afield! There are a LOT of women out there.
Ruby Slippers Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 This would be very disrespectful to both of your parents, and you'd sabotage either their relationship or yours or both. Look outside the family, even if it is only family by law, for sex and love.
alyssatranswarrior Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Who cares if everyone thinks she is hot!!...That is a weak excuse, does not mean you should think about her sexually. I'm not sure if you are reading her signals properly and she is probably more likely trying to get your attention for her own kicks than it meaning she wants you because SHE is attracted to you. ====== You will get a LOT of criticism even from your friends and basically everyone, family included if you both do something together and it becomes a known thing like bf/gf status. Wether you think its normal because there is no blood - You MUST recognize 9/10 people will call this coupling incest. Step-sister has the word SISTER in it and I assume your two parents are still married, in which case I think some laws in almost all western countries class it as straight up incest, and liable to charges from the state. ====== Personally, I always have a fleeting fantasy in my head about this kind of situation (I dont have the situation in reality, its just a rare sexual fantasy), It sorta manifests in the movie "cruel intentions" which portrays it as erotic to flirt and tease sexual possibilities with step-sister/step-brother. But tbo in real life its pretty EWWW to act on it - much less become and item/relationship which you seem to be pondering??!. Yay or nay? NAY

alyssatranswarrior Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 You even admitted you are thinking with your dick. I.E the BRAIN isnt the thing determining her behaviour around you. The pecker is. ....You are not overly weird if you want to masturbate over her and thats where your thoughts should end (in the spank bank), because you shouldnt be hitting on her or being creepy stalking her bedroom or whatever else you may or may not been thinking about since you gained an attraction. You'd have to be 1000% sure you are reading her thoughts and that my thinking isnt the correct one, to even talk to her about if she likes you that way, honestly there'd need to be 1000% assurity there.

It's likely your parents will be very uncomfortable with this situation. It's as bad an idea as dating your cousin -- this is someone you are going to have a close familial relationship with for some time after you no longer are interested in each other. Do you really want an ex girlfriend or ex fling living under the same roof, and hanging out with you every Christmas?

I just checked it out... non-biological step-sibling relations are perfectly okay and happen.

Maybe if you are both 12 and have no common sense, but the both of you are two adults. Please tell me you guys do not reside at the same residence. It will be some snit if you show her that you are interested and she runs and tell y'all parents and they break up over this.
sagetalk Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 I remove my glove and smack you with it sir. Disgraceful .

Familial relationships can be just as significant as biological ones. A sexual/romantic relationship with your step sister isn't going to exist in a vacuum; your parents are involved in this as well. What do you think will happen when you break up? One big happy family? It will all seem great and justifiable while your infatuation holds, until it's over and this comes back to bite you in the a$$ in the years to come. So parental disapproval, general discomfort after it ends, a possible unplanned grandchild and worry that any future girlfriend/spouse might find out that you shagged your step sister aren't major consequences?

There is no such thing as a "little fling that will never be spoken about again" when you've been screwing your step-sister. Don't be naive and stupid.
Tres Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 I just checked it out... non-biological step-sibling relations are perfectly okay and happen. It might ruin your relationship with your family. So, check it out with your parents and your siblings. Ask them their opinion on the situation (say that your friend has the situation but not you have it). Perhaps your relatives think that it is perfectly OK as well, even if it happens in their own family.
O'Malley Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 If you're not a troll, redirect some of that blood flow to above the waistline. I don't live with her. If anything, we'll just have a little fling and then it'll never be spoken about again. Far easier said than done. It's guaranteed that it won't turn out the way you're planning it.
Choboto Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 (edited) nothing wrong iwth it biologically. you people are not related so it WOULD be fine to date. However, the consequences that it could have on the family if it turned south is not worth it unless you plan on moving out soon. Or could atleast make it a neutral settled end of relationship. if someone hates on you cuz you had sex with a step-sister they can **** themselves. She is the equivalent of having sex with a random girl. She has no meaning to you outside what your parents make it mean. if yall want a family relationship go for it, sexual relationship go for it. But i would honestly think how it would affect your parents first. Edited June 30, 2010 by Choboto
alyssatranswarrior Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 You just checked it out WHERE that says siblings non-biological is legal? Where. Call a lawyer in my view, don't just check the internet for yahoo questions lol Even some websites that supposedly give legal statistics are wrong or outdated. Find out in your state what the law says. No matter what you are thinking. Im now challenging you to do it, but you gotta be real risky and erotic and tell your friends you shagged your step-sister. Coz I think I might rofl when the whole neighbourhood finds out and calls you on your incest. Is what it is, my friend. I love how you come here I am assuming for advice (because on this subject consent isnt going to come!) and ask opinions on ethics from people. We ALL unanamously say "dont do it" and that its pretty basically WRONG in real life to do something like this - and you continue to act like it's all fine and dandy to pork the legally binding step-daughter of your father. I don't see how he wouldnt pimp slap you to a bruised upper lip if he is any kind of father figure to her over the years he married her mother.
somedude81 Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Heck, at least if you get married it will be a simple married. You also wouldn't have to think about which family to visit on the holidays. Might be a bit odd having your parents also be your in-laws.
