northstar1 Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Has anyone ever been in the situation where you started out with just being friends with someone, but there was clearly chemistry and a connection from the start, and then at some point (say months later), you cross the line from just friends into something more because it boils over? Has it ever been awkward, or changed things to the point where it was proving difficult to transition into a romantic situation with then in that you are suddenly finding yourself with expectations and feelings that didn't really exist before? Not that either of you regret things changing, but that you both also want to protect the friendship and not have it become too serious which could do that if it doesn't work out?

I'm in that situation right now. My question to you, obviously you feel like the emotions have carried you past that "friends" area but not quite to the "dating" area. Are you sure she feels the same way? I mean have you guys talked about it? Or are you just assuming so?
