So, right around the time i met the (crazy) barista girl and started dating her I was introduced to a 100% italian woman who worked in a biology science department on my university's campus doing her post-doc. she's really smart... hot... amazing accent.. responsible... a romantic... independent... etc.. etc.. but at the time, I was into this barista (who I met first and was dating).

 

So the italian girl and I would chit chat here and there, but nothing serious... yet.

 

The barista dropped the ball too much as she insisted on a relationship and I went along with it. It was rushed... for a number of reasons, I put my foot down. That's over after 2 months. We're in NC (although she broke it once and I got upset).

 

So I began speaking with the italian more... she's a lot of fun to flirt with!!!! :D

 

I asked her out for a game of pool last night... and we enjoyed ourselves. I walked her back to her place (where our cars were)... she invited me up to watch a movie... :confused: Now, having just had two failed "relationships"... I didn't want to make a move on her yet. I am attracted to her, but I did not bring up the relationships to her. I just told her I'm not THAT type of guy. We do have a second date :cool:... the FUNNY part was ... I was at her place till 5AM JUST TALKING. Heh. I asked her if she wanted to go to bed a few times.. she said no. I figure she wanted me to kiss her - but I just couldn't :eek::o

 

So, i'm venting that here. Watch... I start dating this woman (I think I already am) and the barista girl will come back screaming for me (unknowing of my new relationship).

Man, you've got alot more self control than I have. I love Mediterranean women! Sofia Loren in her prime is what I'm imagining. Good for you.

Heh. I have a problem, yes.. but it's not severe. Everyone has a problem/baggage. I'm still the confident individual I've always been (except post-Nicole).

 

It's been 8 months since that. At least I've recognized the toxicity of this relationship and took action much more quickly.

Nope. I did leave her wanting more. :cool: She asked me to 'kidnap' her and take her away from her lab. :laugh:

 

I don't know.. a woman doesn't invite a guy up to her place for no reason on a Saturday night after hanging out at a bar unless there was 'more' interest. Friends do coffee on a Thursday afternoon... heh
