Gut Feeling?

Was looking for some thoughts / opinions on this topic. I've heard lots of theories on this so curious what the board brings up:

For those of you who have stayed together in long term relationships or married...

1) Do you have a gut feeling that the person you are with is who you should be with?

OR

2) Did you grow into the relationship w/ your significant other and over time (say 2+ years) had the feeling it was right?

OR

3) Was it that you were older and just happened to be dating someone and felt like the timing was right and this would work just fine for you?

Been married 9 years. For me I'd say it was a combination of the first 2. Wasnt an instant love at 1st sight thing, although I thought he was gorgeous and was very attracted from day one, but I wasnt thinking marriage til a few months in. After living together awhile I was sure I wanted to marry him without a doubt but I never imagined what a great hubby he would be. The relationship just grows more each year now especially after the honeymoon phase is over and lifes struggles are thrown at you. I now know it was meant to be and that I could never find a better man. Kinda just feel like I really lucked out

1) Definitely a gut feeling.

I was married for 10 years (together 14).

I still believe (gut feeling again) he was the man I was meant to be with for those years of my life.
