head boy Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 I have this friend. He has spent a lot of time being confused about his sexuality. he has wondered if he was gay or bisexual. he has feared being exposed and basically avoided relationships with anyone. he is still attracted to girls, but also feels attracted to boys. he has decided he is bisexual. the problem ? he doesnt trust women because they made him suffer in the past. he doesnt trust men either because they bullied him. he came up with schemes to make certain men and women suffer and succeeded too well. Now, he feels lonely and wants to be loved but knows men and especially women can never be fully trusted. what should he do ? Help !
dyermaker Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 Trust is a personal issue, a personal bond--not a bond shared between one person and an entire gender. If he has genuine abandonment/trust issues, unless you are a board-certified therapist, you cannot help him--he needs to seek treatment, or he won't have a healthy relationship with a man nor a woman.
