guy.lepage Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Between dinner at a fancy restaurant, a night at the movies or attending a music performance, what's the most romantic venue?
stillafool Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 I agree Woggle. I could sit in the backyard and look at the birds and think it's romantic if it is with the right person.
marsle85 Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Woggle and Stillafool are correct, but things the same- I'd consider the fancy restaurant or the music revenue. Don't take a girl to the movies! Atleast not until the 5th or 6th date, to give yourself an excuse to make out, etc. I like that you're thinkin' this way though
norajane Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 You can't talk at a the movies or a music performance, so those dates do nothing to bring you together or open the door for romance.
Author guy.lepage Posted June 21, 2010 Author Posted June 21, 2010 Of course, I'm talking about one person, three date possibilities... Dinner is nice but it's also a bit conventional, something most friends would do (I think). Movies is off limits I agree. As for concerts, it's true that you cannot talk but there's a good opportunity for innocent touching. A concert usually costs more than going to the movies so I would view the date as being a bit more formal than just dinner. Any thoughts?
123BeachFan Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Definitely the dinner. You need to be able to talk, to actually engage each other while you are experiencing whatever you have going on (in this case, food). A concert means you can't talk while the show's going on. But going out to a bar where there's a good band playing is another option (provided, of course, the music isn't so loud that you can't talk). In that case, maybe a piano bar over a rock band Think of other talk-while-experiencing venues...such as a museum, a boat ride, etc...
threebyfate Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 You can't talk at a the movies or a music performance, so those dates do nothing to bring you together or open the door for romance.Agreed. Dating is about getting to know each other and enjoying it. If you can't keep a convo going without something to watch or hear, perhaps your focus isn't on getting to know someone.
USMCHokie Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 The most unique dates are often the most romantic. They can be off-the-wall ideas that will forever make your date think of you...something that she will associate with you...and it can range from absolutely free to uber-expensive, but it's something that she might not have done before or something that neither of you have done before which will make it special for both of you... But of the three choices you've given, I'd pick din din...
Green Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Between dinner at a fancy restaurant, a night at the movies or attending a music performance, what's the most romantic venue? Well dinner at a restaurant that makes GREAT food is FOR SURE more romantic then MOVIES or ATTENDING A CONCERT. Taking girls to the beach is always a sexy date.

The more original the better. And Movies dates ... unless you guys are already "together" or together lol

But of the three choices you've given, I'd pick din din... I agree with this. Fancy dinners are ok and all, if she like fine dining. Personally, I would only want to go to a fancy restaurant with someone I was already in love with...because they take soooo long to serve all the courses, and it's so expensive. Is there a restaurant with great food that has tables outside? That might be more fun and romantic, rather than formal fine dining. It's summer - isn't there something fun you can do? Summer street fairs are fun and give you a chance to hold hands, and eat yummy food, and often they have live bands you can listen to or not. There are carnivals all over - they say anything that gets your adrenaline going will make you more likely to fall in love with someone. You can have fun and ride the tilt-o-whirl and laugh together and cuddle up on the ferris wheel looking at the stars. Google summer festivals in your city, and I'll bet there will be a ton of stuff that comes up. You might even find a summer concert outdoors where you can sit in the grass with a picnic and wine. Or plan a picnic in the park - you bring the food and wine and surprise her. If you've got a lake, river or ocean near you, a boat ride/cruise is a great idea. They have all kinds - some where it's just a ride with views, and others where they serve dinner and have music and dancing. Try something different. She'll remember that, and appreciate it.

WORKS EVERY TIMES
