S8lrMom Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Hello everyone, Been a LONG time since I've been around, but here I am again. Most things I can figure out for myself and some, still blow me away. I'm not a teenager or even a 20 year old trying to find her way. I started a relationship with a man from my past so this was like a second chance. We got along great, sex was phenomenal, he had no children, never got married, I'm 40, he's 45. While I understand the distance thing...I'm from the southern midwest, he from the northeast, he'd said if we really wanted it, we would make the best of it and try. My boys are still in high school and we talked about me moving closer, then one day after a missed plane connection, he said that because we lived too far away, it would be better for us to stay friends. No contact on my part, I gave him his space, then one night he starts texting me about our past, the good times, he even told me he wanted me to visit him. Well, I had started to make the reservations, talking to him by phone when he called me and said that maybe I should wait till September when he's not all that busy with work. He then said that he's ALWAYS been straightforward and that he wants to be "friends" and that he's been seeing a great gal and that even though there's no CHEMISTRY, he wants to be fair to both her and me. Okay, we were together for a year, he told me he loved me, I loved him, so why would he just start out waxing nostalgia while dating a "great gal??"
