do you really ever forget that your newly "loving" husband had an incrediblly intimate relationship with the OP for weeks, months, year even decades (in some cases)?

Do you simply have faith that they never stopped loving you/it was a mistake/they have seen the light and won't do it again?

For those of you with serial cheaters as life partners when do you stop caring about their behaviour?

No, I do not believe you will ever forget the trauma of the experience, but it does lessen with the norm being 2 to 5 years if everyone works very, very hard at it and wants to.

WS: IC, MC, reading talking and total transparency; gives you all email and cell phone passwords and allows you carte blanche to use them whenever you are feeling insecure. Actions support being a better spouse. Watch them closely, for a very long time. Compassion and understanding for the pain they have put you through; making every and all efforts to restore your trust in them.

BS: IC, MC, reading, learning and talking with supportive people, and your spouse about anything you need to talk and question. Feeling secure that they are taking every step necessary to restore your trust and faith in them.
