One of the things I've noticed about all relationships is that it always come back to one thing -- yourself. Time and time again, no matter how many relationships I've had (be it with women or friends), I've realized that everyone has some agenda.

The truth of the matter is that you have to be strong for yourself and live your own life. People are attracted to strength, and if you're resolute in your actions and beliefs, people will be naturally drawn towards you.

But you know what? In the end, you live your life for you. So screw all the idiots that are weak or liars. You'll encounter them throughout your life. And you know what? You'll have a lot of wolves come in sheep's clothing. But eventually you'll realize that you were always the stronger person in your world -- and someday, somewhere, you'll meet true friends -- and that special person.

Thank you Denver!

I've never truly lived my life for anyone but myself. I learnt that lesson from my Mum, who not only had a messy divorce, but sacrificed EVERY opportunity she had to raise me on her own. Seeing the things she missed out on made me determined to never let anything or anyone keep me from my dreams (of course, I feel guilty that she gave up so much for me, but my drive to achieve is making her driven to get back what she's put on hold for so long, so I guess that's a good thing!)

Wow - ramble. Where was I?

Yeah, so I live my life for my own hopes and dreams. Any men or relationships that come along, great. I don't treat them as though they are forever. Whatever will be will be. I have Amazing friends, my best friend is my soulmate, I'm 26, going through the best years of my life, and at the moment, I'm about to buy a house, and I'm very much married to my beautiful Pentax camera, which I am using to build my career.

And I'm gonna make it - man or no man!

Thanks for the post Denver, I needed it this morning. Especially the part about people being attracted to strength. I've gotta let go of the damsel in distress role and become an alpha female :)
