Billzebub Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 I have a friend like that, and truthfully, it makes things awkward. I don;t like going out somewhere with her because her feelings are hanging over the whole thing.
Author WheatusDirtBag Posted June 23, 2010 Author Posted June 23, 2010 I have a friend like that, and truthfully, it makes things awkward. I don;t like going out somewhere with her because her feelings are hanging over the whole thing. It doesn't seem to be bothering him, though. Which only confuses me further...I mean, he's willing to hang out with me (alone even) or in public and he supposedly "doesn't like me like that". He also texted me (instead of IM) for the first time since school ended (which seems like ages to me at this point, but it really hasn't been). I was very nicely surprised when I saw it was from him. I am starting to think that the age gap is a bigger deal than I thought...he is a few years younger than me and I'm not exactly ancient. He also openly stated he is confused about everything, but didn't say necessarily about me...but he did say EVERYTHING. and Carhill..ummm...he is not a serial killer? lol He is my friend. Thanks for your input, but it didn't help at all and only succeeded in confusing me further.
Author WheatusDirtBag Posted June 23, 2010 Author Posted June 23, 2010 Nor is he in an open-marriage, lol, he lives with his mom, that'd be a little hard to accomplish...bi-sexual...ehhh, I guess that I can never know, but he claims to be straight. lol
carhill Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 and Carhill..ummm...he is not a serial killer? lol He is my friend. Thanks for your input, but it didn't help at all and only succeeded in confusing me further. No worries. Life will teach you all the lessons you need to learn. Good luck

Bike_Ride Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 I don't find it a reason to stop being friends, but I wouldn't lead her on if I knew she was having feelings. It's natural for a opposite sex friend to suddenly develop feelings for her long time friend, it is heart breaking if yo uknow he doesn't have feelings back, but I feel it should be brought up and if he runs then..tough..he is an idiot and has no clue about human emotion. It's a sucky feeling(I know) and I am in a good mood these days, so "cyber huggs to you(((())))) I hope you two can resolve these feelings you are having.

We aren't long time friends, I just barely met him 2 semesters ago. We also didn't start talking until 3 months after that. It hasn't even been a year...and so far we've texted up the butt (lol to be blunt), myspaced up the ying yang (again to be blunt haha) and facebook IMed every second of every hour of every night (exaggerating here lol). I also have been to his house and we've been out together. I will not be the first to make a move, because I don't believe in that and I'm not comfortable doing so....but if he obviously thinks he should pay for a girl (that's not even his girlfriend) he might prefer it that way. I am staying positive at this point. :laugh:and thanks for the cyber hugz
