shleybutler Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 So there's this guy I go to college with. We were sort of mutual acquaintances, we talked every once in a while. Then I started working at my dad's company and it turns out he works there too. So we started seeing each other and talking more, sometimes at school and sometimes at work, and he would sort of flirt with me but in this really obvious, stupid sort of way that made me laugh. Then the other day at school, he sat next to me and held my hand for a long time. About a week passed and then I went to work really late one night and he was alone in there. We talked for a little bit and he kept flirting with me in the same dumb fashion, talking about how we should kiss to make time go by quicker and stuff and I laughed. Then we both got ready to leave and as we walked to the door he turned off the lights and kissed me on the cheek. I stayed still and then he kissed me on the lips. I sort of pulled away and I said "Someone's gonna see us" and he just laughed and kissed me again. Then I sort of pulled away again and he sat down on a chair and we just sort of stayed like that in the dark. It was pretty tense, and when I finally turned on the light, he was beet red. Then I was like "Ummm... you can't tell anyone about this". I said it because obviously I don't want my dad to find out but also because last thing I heard was that he was in a long distance relationship with a girl we both know from school. So he was just quiet and then he said "Yeah. We didn't kiss." And I said "Yup. That sounds perfect". Then at night I was freaking out and I called his phone and I told him again that I didn't want anyone to find out about what had happened and also asked him to keep some papers I had forgotten in the office. He seemed pretty unconcerned about the whole thing. Then the next day I called to ask about the papers and he didn't answer. The day after that I called again and he answered and we talked for like five seconds but he seemed to be in a better mood. Today I stopped by the office to pick up the papers and there was another worker there with him. So I said hi and he just sort of put his hand over mine without letting the other guy see, but it was in that dumb flirting way, he was smilling like it as funny. Then I told him to give me the papers and I left. What does everyone think about this? Does he like me? Or is he just being dumb? He's been this way with me since before I started working there and before he found out my dad was his boss, like he'd pretend to flirt but would never try to touch me or anything and sometimes we just talked. But now things have escalated. I don't know. I mean, I'm not in love with him or anything, but I'd like it if we went to the movies sometime, or just hung out. Does that even sound like a possibility? He's never tried to call me or ask me out. I've kinda thought about asking him out somewhere myself. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should probably ask him out - because the whole "shh" I don't want my dad to find out (your in college... why does it matter) and him putting his hand over yours without anyone seeing is really elementary. Ask him out and hang out somewhere where you guys don't have to hide.
