DenverBachelor Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 I'm curious ... if you raise a dog from when he was a young puppy and you don't see him or her for a year or longer, can a dog remember you if you come back?
D-Lish Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 I'm curious ... if you raise a dog from when he was a young puppy and you don't see him or her for a year or longer, can a dog remember you if you come back? Yes, of course. My exH and I got dogs together, and they were 4 when we broke up. When our divorce was almost final, he came by to pick up something and sign some stuff- he hadn't seen them in almost 2 years... (his choice, it was painful for him). The dogs went crazy and smothered him with kisses:love:
Shakz Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Yes, and you don't even have to be the one who raised them. Dogs are marvelous creatures. They can smell pain, they can hear fear, and they can see you through both, all for the price of a scratch behind the ears. If there is reincarnation I want to come back as a dog.
StarrySkyBlue Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Yes, dogs will always remember you. Even if you leave them for a year, they won't feel like you've abandoned them but will just become overjoyed to see you back again. They're better than people in that way...
