Confused4Now Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 How funny how almost all these stories are very similar....and even people post to say that. I'm just curious since I've been here for 2 years now....for all the OLD Timers I have a question for you....have you ever cut and paste some of you old advice or opinions from other postings so you don't have to re-write the same things? I was curious...cause I have referenced some of my old posts or someone else's...but have you just cut and paste cause it's the same old answer?

I was thinking the same, except what I was thinking was that the advice doesn't always fit but posters tend to give the same advice anyways. It fitted their story I guess, and therefore they think it is the only answer.
jennie-jennie Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 (edited) Or the story is almost about the same. The story might be similar, but the people involved are different, and thus different answers can be valid. I should have phrased it clearer: It fitted their personality I guess, and therefore they think it is the only answer. Edited June 18, 2010 by jennie-jennie

jennie-jennie Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Nope - never. I believe that, silk, because you personalize your answers, which is why it is a pleasure to discuss with you even when we do not agree. You try to understand where the OW/OM is coming from, which makes a major difference and makes the OW/OM more open to listening to you and your opinions. Your replies are not just the same old standard answer.
2sunny Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 nope- never. each person's situation IS individual to THEM. sometimes - it's the little things that a poster types that makes all the difference to my response. the written word tends to have a certain tempo, mood and portrays the core being of the individual and their situation. a pattern is usually revealed through the posts that gives clues to the OP mindset and perspective. these are things i take into consideration when responding.
jwi71 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I have. I verbatim copy n paste a post a made to a poster - to the same poster months later. Yes, my post STILL made sense, still fit the situation....and no, she didn't get the point I was trying to make.
joey66 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Every A is exactly the same, and every A is unique. eta: One of my pet peeves. There is no such thing as more or less unique. Unique means "one of a kind." Either it's unique, or it's not.

So in a way they are all the same to me.... just like J66 said....each one is unique.
