I am in a really good mood tonight, despite feeling that I am bordering on death's door! :sick:

 

And so I wanted to say a big "WHOOPPPPPPPPP!!!" To all my girls here who are moving on.

 

I thought maybe we could do it with some "moving on songs"!

 

Please do not post lyrics.

 

Post song titles and artists and links so maybe we can keep the thread awhile... now get out there and find some good moving on songs...

 

I dedicate this one to all of you who are moving on (even when it hurts)..

I've been through the "motivational" move me on songs etc, the feeling sorry for myself songs and currently I am with this one:

When I listen to it I generally cry but in a good way ... it reflects what is in side me right now .. A deep love for myself, a deep sadness that it didnt' work, and a deep acceptance that I'm moving on.

 

There is a line "I just want to come home but you see the shelter as the storm" .. which sums it all up for me ..

 

For me home was when I was with her, which is why I clung on for over 13 years hoping, but now can see that being with me was more of a storm for her than being where she is now.

 

For a long time a song like this would have made me angry as it would have rubbed salt in the wounds .. but nowadays it doesn't .. it gives me a genuine feeling of sadness coupled with a genuine feeling of deep love for myself and sadness but wishing the best for her.

I am not a big country fan, but i have a good friend who DJs for a country station and I occasionally stream him when we are chatting online while he works. LOL..

 

I heard this song and laughed my butt off!!!

 

Definitely a "moving on song" if ever there was one!!!!

For you ladies moving on from your MM, you can always listen to this song and imagine his home life post d-day to be something like this.. lmaooooooooooooooooooooooooooo..

 

It just may ease your pain.. lmao!!!

 

(Sorry, I really got a kick out of this one!!!! Maybe having country DJ friends is a good thing when you need songs about relationships.. lol.. they know them ALL!)
