Author Ilovecake Posted June 17, 2010 Author Posted June 17, 2010 Thanks. I'm sorry have I read what? Corpus Aristotelicum? No, not cover to cover. It's a little too scholarly for me, but my sig is a pretty commonly referenced quote.
sean1970 Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 I think she was pointing out the contrast between your remarks and the message in your sig... She is sly like that...
jlr Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 There's nothing wrong with wishing your ex's new cat pisses on he and his new chick's stuff My ex GF got a dog recently. I hoped the same thing. It's not really an anger thing. Just hoping that karma does it's job. Lol. In the end, I felt comforted knowing that my dog will always be cooler and more adorable than any replacement she finds! F' 'em!
Author Ilovecake Posted June 17, 2010 Author Posted June 17, 2010 Ah, I see. Yeah I chose the sig because of my anger issues, thought if I read it enough…but it’s not working. I was just joking with this thread. I wish the kitty a wonderful life but if the ex gets worms I won't be mad.

mickleb Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Does my dog really adore me or is it just cupboard love? x
Author Ilovecake Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 Tara how are you with cat psychology? I have a 21 year old girl who's going senile. She talks to one particular wall, a lot. I would like to know what they're talking about.
TaraMaiden Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Does my dog really adore me or is it just cupboard love? x probably a healthy dose of both. Dogs are - to my mind - extraordinary. A human being can put them through hell, but the next person who shows them kindness, they respond to and reciprocate. Not many humans can do that. We become cynical and jaded. But the way a dog 'loves' us is through Loyalty and protection. Dogs are capable of 'showing' love, but mainly, when they go through what we suppose are loving actions and gestures, there may be something more - or different - to it. Seriously, PM me if you need to. I'm happy to help. Tara how are you with cat psychology? I have a 21 year old girl who's going senile. She talks to one particular wall, a lot. I would like to know what they're talking about. Is she going blind? I'm not kidding. Elderly people talk to themselves a bit. maybe she's doing the same.....
mickleb Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Hi wos honly jhokin' *add leprechaun-like irish accent* but what a kind response! Thank you. I may. x
Left in a Lurch Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Thanks. I'm sorry have I read what? Corpus Aristotelicum? No, not cover to cover. It's a little too scholarly for me, but my sig is a pretty commonly referenced quote. Wikipedia strikes again.
TaraMaiden Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Hi wos honly jhokin' *add leprechaun-like irish accent* but what a kind response! Thank you. I may. x No prob's. I wasn't sure, so I tend to start by treating all comments seriously... You never know... I'd hate to be flippant and then find the owner really is asking.... BTW...You really need to work on that accent. it sounds Mexican-Irish....Whotta combination.....!
Author Ilovecake Posted June 19, 2010 Author Posted June 19, 2010 Wikipedia strikes again. Good one. You're witty. I didn't get the quote from Wikipedia, even though I'm sure it's on there, like I said it's pretty common. I got the quote from a book on anger management. Anyways what's wrong with Wikipedia and why the drama about my quote?
WTRanger Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Wishing for another person to have bad karma only brings bad things to you. It's like drinking poison and hoping the other person dies. Remember, Ecclesiastes 9:11 "The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all." Meaning it doesn't make jack what you do, chance is the only thing you can count on. It explains why a lot of lowlifes lead high lifes. Indifference is the way to go. They got a new pet? Meh, good for them. I hope they are happy. Now, what's on the TV?
